Yes, he would, you need big chakra reserves for Sage mode which Naruto has without the Kyuubi. Minato may still have been dead though, that is true. The EMS isn't his eyes, read the OP.

Naruto is an Uzumaki, gifted with huge chakra reserves and lifeforce, he has four times the chakra of Kakashi in base, not to mention some of his own chakra is used to suppress the fox. You can tell when the he using the Kyuubi's chakra, when he learned Rasengan, and uses shadow clones that was his own chakra. You need lots of chakra and life force to be a jinchuuriki, he has plenty of chakra, without the Kyuubi. Give him the credit he is due.

really doesn't mtter, even after learning sage mode he still needed the kyuubi and hinata's help to beat pain. He and Sasuke would be dead when they fought Haku. They both are overrated but the only people that get that is unbiase people.
