I think he shouldve received some time at least. He shouldve been convicted of that manslaughter charge.

As a black person Imma tell you a secret: It's all about the race issue U_U That's what's it about to most people. While I agree that Zimmerman was a bit racist or biased, I feel like everyone's being a bit racist and biased. Depending on how you look at it, Zimmerman couldve just been defending his community, or slaughtering a young black male based on prejudice.

Just because it doesn't affect our family and friends doesn't mean we shouldn't care. If everyone thought like that, the world would be an even shittier place.
However, I do think that there are other more pressing issues that should be getting as much or more media coverage than this.

Its hard to say because its such a hard situation to judge......seems as though he tried to go above and beyond the Neighborhood Watch, and when he got spooked by Martin himself being spooked at being followed...he took lethel action.
I think some form of a reckless endangerment (or un-intentional manslaughter...like a accidental car hit equivalent) had some realistic standing for a charge...especially since he supossedly followed Martin.
But its just a WHOLE LOT of Grey.....and when you can't tell true intentions is it better to punish someone who was honestly trying self defense....or is the potential of him being a racist murderer more important?
It all depends on morals I suppose...
