Genuinely what's wrong with minato?

I was just wondered what's wrong with Minato's character, I don't pay much attention to him but what's the problem with his character? I always thought thebase thought he was this typical badass dad. Could someone like spill the tea on him and why he is disliked?

He's one of the worst caricatures in the manga: a half-dimensional, 2-D rubbish. And still, I am being very, very generous. Even as a Shinobi he's as predicable as your bedroom door's doorknob. His best feat was desiphered better by just about everyone who faced Obito. I have no clue why he's even popular as he doesn't back the hype behind him.

He's one of those characters who should have stayed dead: the mystique suited his so-called untouchable status.

I was under the impression that he was pretty (unwarrantedly) popular... Granted, not as popular as he used to be, since he turned out to be pretty goofy when most people wanted him to be an Itachi type, but still.

For me nothing . Did his duty as Hokage and gave his life for the sake of village. Extremely smart and the biggest genius Konoha ever had with Itachi being second. The biggest hero of 3 war and the fastest ninja .

He either didn't live up to expectations, or he was too much of a naruto type for most. He was fine for me, he was pretty much just advertised as fast mainly. No one ever said he had a jutsu arsenal or was a man of many jutsu... I guess it's the hype with lack of back up feats, especially when it comes to his war arc self... although he got negged by mads and a juubi Jin so it's not all bad.... although living by hype alone doesn't seem to affect hiruzen

Because they turned him into a piccolo. I.e. using him getting his ass kicked to show just how strong obito/madara is. Usually its kakashi that fills that role, but even then kakashi at lest saves face. Minato just got shitted on and the only way he was allowed to contribute was from a supplementary role(saving the SA twice) .
