Gentle fist is a hand to hand combat used by Hyuuga clan members. Its main use is to inflict internal damage to the opponent attacking ones chakra system. It also damages organs that are close or near the area struck. The user of this fightning style injects there own chakra to the opponents chakra causing damage to there system.

The Byakugan or white eye is one of the 3 legendary dojutsus it is used by the members of the Hyuuga clan. The Byakugan has several abilities like the 360º field of vision. The byakugan although has a blind spot located in the back of the users neck. The Byakugan can also see through solid objects and can see long distances. Another ability of the Byakugan is that it can see chakra flow.

Anywho, like you said earlier about the Byakugan, it is a doujutsu that allows you to perceive chakra and see through matter easily. Your vision is unparalleled on a mist, smoke screen, dust cloud, etc, even if they're created by chakra (Sharigan lacks on that matter), and even through solid walls or, not less important, genjutsu. Byakugan will allow you to see through visual genjutsu. See it as cloak over your eyes, you will still be affected by the genjutsu, but you can see past it if you realize that what you are seeing isn't real. This does not apply to your other senses, but you can use your byakugan to look to your body's chakra and see if it's disrupted, permitting you to realize someone's meddling with your brain. It's vision is more detailed than that of Sharingan, as it not only allows you to see chakra in and out of your opponent, it also allow you to see a clear path of the chakra system, as detailed as each chakra knot or point, which is from where the chakra leaves the body to the external world. Along with the power to see chakra and see through matter, the Byakugan also allows you a 360º radial telescopic vision, meaning you can see as far as 1 km give or take (On the account of you being an S-Ranked Ninja) as closely or almost as if you were standing there directly. Still, realize your vision still comes from you, so if you had a rock standing 1 km away from you, you could see it as if you were there, but only the side facing you, you can't actually watch it's back.

Using the byakugan's enhanced vision and great chakra mastery inherited to the clan, the Hyuuga developed a taijutsu form called Gentle fist. The Gentle fist is about using chakra along with our taijutsu, to deal internal damage to the internal organs directly, instead of external damage. Any questions so far before we get into detail about the Gentle Fist?

Yes it does. Of course as it get denser, you loose the ability to see through it, so you can't actually see till the center of the earth or something like that xD But yeah, if an opponent is underground, you can see it. It does not mean you automatically see it, if you do not make the intention to do so. This means that you don't see an opponent underground unless you specifically say that you look for him underground.

I'd also like to add that, eventho you'll know that you're in a genjutsu with your byakugan, it doesn't mean that you have broken out of it. You still need to break out of it just like a normal person but you'll see it in an instant if you have been infected by genjutsu.

With the blind spot, you may channel your chakra into your blind spot and see 5-6 meters into the spot but its really impossible in a battle that one will really throw a kunai in a way that it will travel in your blindspot.

To extend on the specification on the byakugan, you'll be able to see exactly how does your enemy look and what is he doing and not only his chakra flow. As Lili-Chwan said it, you'll be able to see through walls and see your enemy exactly as if you were to see him infront of you.

I'd also like to bring up that with your byakugan, you'll be able to see "everywhere at once". That means that you'll be able to see an EIG user, even if he's at he's in 8th gates, because you literary see everywhere at once. This doesn't mean that your body can react and move in the same speed.

At clones, you'll be able to easily distinguish the fake ones from the real one. And nothing will cover your field of vision. you can just look through techniques.

Yes and no, you don't see it instantly. It's like I said, you can see it because you can look past it's illusions (And know they're illusions) or by looking to your body and see your chakras all messed. But it is not instantaneous.

This is not true. You see everything at once, but you do not process everything at once, you are required to actually portray the intention of looking somewhere, you do not acquire omniscience. Which means you won't be able to see an EIG user like that. You can, though, see him, his after-images and track his chakras fairly easier. That allied with Taijutsu mastery (Speed and reflexes of a Taijutsu Master) will permit you to fight on pair with some of the gates, but Byakugan and Gentle Fist alone are not an immediate nor perfect counter to EIG.

At clones, you'll be able to easily distinguish the fake ones from the real one. And nothing will cover your field of vision. you can just look through techniques.

Again, this is not true with all clones. Shadow Clones and similar techniques are the only know exception so far, because you divide your chakra evenly among all clones. You, using the Byakugan alone, can't distinguish the real Shadow Clone. It is debatable if you can keep track of the opponent before,while and after he is using the technique, and thus know what was there from the beginning and what came after, but it is not clear if you actually create clones or if you can also transfer your consciousness at the beginning of the technique.

As for the nothing will cover your field of vision part, that is considered true. Again, there is no such thing as omniscience, just a pretty enhanced sight.
