Just a theory I've been thinking of...you know how Genjutsu falls under Yin Release?

Hiden: The fragments of Yin and Yang Style that became the basis of many techniques.

You may therefore wonder whether only the Uchiha and Senju can harness the power of Yin and Yang Style. The answer is no. For example, even though the Sharingan can be said to "create form out of naught," you will find that Genjutsu primarily falls within the realm of Yin Style. There are also many Shinobi clans that have inherited Hiden Ninjutsu.

To elaborate, Yin and Yang Style, which doesn't belong to the five elemental nature transformations, is often used in an elementary fashion. For example, the Akimichi Clan uses Yang Style to increase their body mass and the Nara Clan uses Yin Style to stretch and alter their shadows. In this way, even if they aren't Uchiha or Senju, Shinobi harness Chakra and in so doing harness the basis of technique, which is most certainly rooted in the fragments of Yin and Yang Style.

Well what if Medical Ninjutsu falls under the broad term of Yang Release?...it would make sense but it's still a theory.

It probably does. Kakashi told Naruto that Shikamaru's Shadow Manipulation and Chouji's Expansion jutsus were listed under Yin and Yang, but he thought that would go over Naruto's head at that moment.

And the fact that Naruto used a Byakugou-esque technique with his Yang Seal.

I thought as much...I guess it goes back to the original concepts of ninjutsu...

you know how yin= creation of what forms in the mind and yang= application of life for that form...

the body's cells and it's manipulation has always had something to do with yang release in the series too

It would have been interesting if Medical Users heal through Life Force (their own) to establish this theory.

Anyway there isn't a valid response I can give. Especially since nothing was stated in the DB, it's not like Kishimoto or his team care about the finer details anyway.

Chiyo is the only person who achieved that, and idk how but it's lost forever now since she died.

Well Yang Release is considered to be something that breathes in life, and it has to do with vitality.

I think it would have made sense for medical ninjutsu which heals to focus on tranferring one's Yang (vitality) onto another.

At least in terms of makibg your theory real, if they wanted to. Just a randon thought lol

It appears that Karin's healing does just that.

Medical ninjutsu is most likely yang , because tsunade only has yang release , though it probably uses both yin and yang,

Medical Ninjutsu is a form of regeneration and Hashirama's DNA is capable of allowing someone to have some form of regeneration because of his powerful Lifeforce. Since Tsunade's Byakugou, the pinnacle of Medical Ninjutsu was comparable to Hashirama's form of regeneration, it's safe to say that Medical Ninjutsu can be a form of Yang Release.

It's interesting because some of the best Medical Ninjutsu users are those with high levels of Physical Energy (Hashirama, Tsunade, and Karin), so it's likely not even a coincidence that Medical Ninjutsu is a form of Yang Release.

Medical Ninjutsu does fall under Yang Release, its not a theory.
Yang Release is for Vitality. It is basically confirmed here:

Genjustu falls under Yin, Medical falls under Yang
