I'm not certain but could mind damage slow down his reaction time and also stop his ability to use reason to know whether he is in a genjutsu or not ?

Reaction time yes, reasoning abilities yes. Also, if it's severe enough, it could even affect the usage of techniques, as he would be unable to mold chakra in some situations. You can't perform techniques if you are mentally disabled.

Yes, it all depends on rank, because damage lies on it.. I have an S-rank custom genjutsu that does 80 mental damage, so that would basically be match ending.

Perform the required hand seals, and then channel your chakra into my clone's nervous system. You then dissolve in a mist, and then a tree will emerge from the ground and immobilize your opponent. You then "emerge" from the tree trunk, ready to kill.

So this one is incredibly popular. Snakes will rise from the ground and constrict themselves around the opponent. Throughout the illusion, the opponent is immobilized. Immobilization + stress damage makes it incredibly useful and versatile.

1) Like you said mind damage and immobilization is a good combo and would give me enough time to attack quickly. I would use Wind Release: Pressure Damage along with this because of its destructive ability.

While this is happening the clone is being bound by vines behind which grow from the ground and bind all of his limbs. I perform the Bird hand seal and then condense my Doton chakra and make earthen spikes rise up out of the ground at acute angles around the clones feet so that they pierce his knees and thighs stopping him from moving in reality. I then focus my Raiton chakra and run towards your clone as I hear a chirping sound all around me and aim my Chidori at his head and extend the blade so that it pierces through his skull.

I am bound by a sudden appearance of vines and you also disappear from my sight. Unless you possess a wood release ability which I don't know about, I figure this is a genjutsu. And so, after being bound for a few seconds, I release unfocused electricity from my body that also negates your spikes from forming.

I look carefully at the man as he runs towards me waving his sword slightly and then I suddenly begin to see multiple arms waving along with him covering his arm. I frown and realize this is a genjutsu instantly; and not a subtle one in the least, no technique possible should be able to do that and the arms appeared so quickly with all the man doing was running and waving his arms. So I completely stop my chakra flow and then spike it back up again and the arms disappear and I see the man near me. I quickly condense my Doton chakra and spread it across my body just as the sword strikes. I then raise my darkened fist and punch a hole in your stomach.

The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great, all purpose technique. But this technique when activated leaves the user vulnerable to lightning based techniques.
