Genjutsu are techniques that are employed the same way as ninjutsu with chakra and hand seals but they don't harm the oponents body phisicaly,they maniplate the flow of the chakra in the oponents brain so it efects theur senses.This is often used to create images and to cause pain because the victims body thinks it is pain.It also can be used so it controls the victim like Danzo did to Mifune or Tobi to Yagura.The genjutsu users extend thei chakra to the brain of the oponent that way it disturbs their senses.Those under genjutsu apear to be uncontious or keep moving around under the pretnce of genjutsu.The user can apear to be somewhere else to the victim ot that in frint of him theres a field and it's a cliff actualy and so on.Al mammals are afected by genjutsu but insects aren't.
There is a genjutsu:Izanagi wich has the oposite abilaties to regular genjutsu because it changes relality to ilusion
Users:Tayuya,Kabuto,Itachi,Kurenai,Shisui,Ma and Pa,Sasuke,Danzo,second Mizukage...

It isn't reley copu pasting but I did look in the wiki and read that and than some of it I didn't know how to put in my own words so I wrote the same thing that I read I will do it again if you want to and I'll try to put it in my words and about chakra there was some copy pasting mostly from the begining of my fire training where I was asked the same question.

Ok, I'm going to teach you in a very different way now. Basically I am going to post three techniques below. What I want you to do is look them up on narutowikia. Then for each technique I want you to write underneath it:

-How the technique is used.
-How it works
-Its strengths and weaknesses.
-Anything else you find is suitable.

Also post a picture if you can (note that some techniques may not have pictures because they are game techniques). Also note that not all of the techniques are findable on wiki; if so tell me and I will do my best to explain the technique. Also if you have any questions about anything then just post and I will answer any questions.

From time to time I may quiz you or ask you to produce a combo with your learnt techniques. If you are unsure about what I am asking you to post just look at this Post:

-Your not just copying what I'm saying and we both don't get bored.
-All techniques for this specific element/art/style will be covered with detailed information which you can then come back to instead of looking around narutowikia.
-You may always post questions in your training thread (even if we have finished training) and I will try my best to answer them.
-Most techniques are pictured and detailed in order which may help you in your rping endeavours.

If you have any questions about this style of training or if you personally do not like this training then just VM or PM (or even just post on this thread) and I will try my best to accommodate you.

1) well, if you make big change, opponent will notice it easily and release himself from it

2) you are wrong, opponent would know if he put you under genjutsu and this cannot be used when you are under genjutsu, and actually many people think that this will REALLY make them disolve into sakura petals, so just so you know, this CANNOT be used to dodge something

3) well, another disadvantage is that almost everyone knows that no normal person just walks into battlefield xd

Anyway:
1.It is used so it traps the enemy in an ilusion that they're traveling lost for hours.
It's weaknes is that that only someone dumb wouldn't realise that thats a genjutsu.

2.It is used to gather information from the enemy because thay would think that you're in thair mind torturing them so they give info.It's weaknes someone skilled ca see through it and kai is a weakness

3.It is used to make an ilusion where the enemy would see a great fireball comning towards them and will thing that they're being engulfed by flames so they would flee their location.Weakness again some wouldn't fall for the jutsu.
