Elijah makes his way towards the training field, where he would be teaching a member of the Souma no Kou clan, or rather, members. Nonetheless, he was interested to see how they would be, and what kind of knowledge they possessed on the subject at hand. He had a suitcase with him, black, as his attire, which was a dark suit.

"Hello there.. I am Elijah Ganmi, and I'll be teaching you about Genjutsu. What can you tell me about it? Anything that comes to mind about the subject."

Elijah said in a stern voice.

"Oh, and your names too. Wouldn't want to start without knowing your names.."

He said jokingly, cracking a slight smile as he does so.

Sting and Rogue notice their sensei appear. They were perplexed at his attire, as a suit was a strange getup for a shinobi. Upon his arrival, the twins were asked what they knew of Genjutsu, as well as their names.

"Yo!" Sting said with a confident smile. "My name is Sting." Sting would then gesture to his brother. Rogue simply crossed his arms. "My name is Rogue." With a cool look from both twins, they began to speak. "Anyways. Genjutsu is one of the three shinobi arts, the other two being Ninjutsu and Taijutsu. Genjutsu differs from the other two because the effects are completely illusionary." "The main purpose of Genjutsu is to stream one's chakra into an enemy or enemies and disrupt their chakra network. In doing so, the user can then cast an illusion that the target's brain would perceive in one way or another, whether it be performed through sound, immobilization, smell, etc." "And in order to get out of a Genjutsu, one would need to disrupt their already disrupted chakra network, either through a full body surge technique, the Kai technique, or through physical pain." "But before that, the user would first have to realize he was in a Gen in the first place." "So that's that."

The two brothers really showcased their close bond and teamwork through that. It wasn't purposely meant to be shown, but the two brothers were in total sync, being able to finish off the where the other left off in an instant. They were ready for their training to begin.

They were quite knowledgeable, these two brothers. Elijah simply nodded his head in agreement, though he was one to explicitly cover the subject, especially because Genjutsu was such a misunderstood skill at times.

"Well done, let's start with detection of a Genjutsu. How would you personally go about in detecting a Genjutsu, if you were placed in one? Don't be afraid to think outside the box, but its always nice to cover everything step by step."

Elijah then smirked as he said;

"Its my favorite skill, you know.."

Sting and Rogue took some time regarding this question. "Well, I find it really hard to answer this question. I mean, Wouldn't it all depend on the type of Genjutsu used?" Rogue also was slightly confused. "I agree. I find it hard to explain how to realize you're in a Genjutsu, unless we talk about a specific genjutsu." "I mean, obviously, the only way you'd know is either if you could see you're chakra network being disturbed." "Or if you were with someone else and happened to notice the other was acting strange." "Yea, that way, the other person would realize you're inside a GEnjutsu. "But, if you were alone and without anyway of detecting, you'd have to realize you were in a Gen, by using logic and reasoning." "Cause if a Genjutsu brings out your worst fear all of a sudden, it's not gonna make much sense. Logically, you could assume an illusion is taking place." "Also, if something were only to affect one's senses, one could realize by realizing a specific sense isn't working." "Like if something affected your sense of sight, you wouldn't be able to touch it, so if you tried, you could realize that you're in a Genjutsu." "Hmm, it seems those are the ways for detecting you're in a Gen.

It was funny at first. The two took so long trying to think of how to answer, and once starting to reply, they actually realized they would answer it.

OOC: Sorry for taking so long

No worries.

Their reasoning was quite interesting, and Elijah actually enjoyed their interaction. They were going to be good, if they kept this up. Elijah merely smiled as he heard their answer, and cleared his throat before speaking.

"Not bad, those are fairly correct. One could either notice the fluctuation, or change, in your chakra flow by using a Doujutsu like the Sharingan, or be a sensor. Though those have their own by rules, like the Sharingan must be active to see the flow, and the sensor must first realize its a Genjutsu before trying to break it. With us, without those type of special abilities, we need to logically figure out that we are trapped in a Genjutsu, and like you said, each Genjutsu is different and most of their effects are quite easy to realize. Though there are others like dormant Genjutsu and ones which are extremely subtle, which are difficult to even realize in the first place. Nonetheless, with practice and a good way of thinking, one can break almost all Genjutsu easily."

Elijah then fixes his tie, as he asks the brothers.

"Speaking of breaking Genjustu's, how would one go about doing that? Could you explain to me the ones you know of?"

OOC: I'm sorry, I really thought I replied. Also, I'm barely having time to stay on because of school. I really do want to at least reply though so by the time I can relax, I'll be done with most of the basics. I'll try to make replies within a few days after your replies from here on out.

Sting and Rogue listened to their sensei's response. Afterwards, their sensei would ask them how one would go about breaking from a Genjutsu.

"Two ways. Pain and Kai." Said Sting confidently.
"Not only that, but there's also the Foreign Chakra disturbance and Contradictory Gens. Rogue followed.

"Wuh? Rogue? I mean, I know the Pain and Kai Technique method. Basically, if you can cause yourself enough real-world pain, after realizing you're in a Genjutsu, then you can effectively put yourself back into reality. The amount of pain needed though is dependent on the strength of the illusion though. So without knowing how strong the Gen is, it'll probably be a waste of time to keep hurting yourself. Also, there's the Kai technique, which simply let's you focus you're energy to break out of a Genjutsu. The strength of the Kai depends on how high of rank the ninja is." Sting then looked to his brother. Now what were you going on about?

"There are 4 ways of breaking through illusions. The first two, you said Sting. The second two are Foreign Chakra disturbances and Contradictory Gens. In fact, you also forgot to explain how full-body surge techniques also work. Any technique that is a fully-body surge acts in a similar manner to the Kai technique, being able to disrupt your chakra network and subsequently, the illusion. Personally, I would categorize Kai and Full-Body Surges as the same thing. It's important to know the "why" aspect of techniques Sting."

Sting gave an annoyed look. Yea yea, just go make with the talk.

Rogue wasn't trying to one-up his brother at all, he was simply being serious. Still keeping a stoic and calm look, he went on. "Besides those methods sensei, if foreign chakra were to enter the body, it'd cancel out genjutsu. It can be done by an ally giving chakra, bijuu chakra for Bijuu, Sage Energy for Sage Mode users, or chakra from Curse Marks. In addition to that, there is also the method of Contradictory Gens. If one were to place a genjutsu on the user, and the user placed a genjutsu that contradicted it on himself, both genjutsus would cancel out, effectively setting the user free from the genjutsu." Rogue then gave his sensei a calm look, signaling his completion. Sting placed his hands on his hips and averted his eyes. Pfft, yea... Whatever.

He was quite impressed with his students' answer. They were quite prepared for this session.

"Very good. You got most of the details correct. Nonetheless, all that I'd add is simply specifics. Firstly, the Pain is directly proportional to the rank of the Genjutsu. Here you go."

Elijah throws a scroll towards the brothers.

D Rank Genjutsu: Chipping a Finger (like one does as he bites to draw blood for a Summoning Jutsu)

C Rank Genjutsu: Low level Physical Attacks, Bitting a chunk of your Cheek

B Rank Genjutsu: Low ranked Taijutsu/ Freestyle

A Rank Genjutsu: High ranked Taijutsu, Stabbing Yourself in minor muscle, Cutting yourself, Breaking Smaller bones, Low level Burning/Voltage, Painful Cold

S Rank Genjutsu: EIG/Sage level Taijutsu, Breaking Bones, Deep Stabs or cuts, Medium Voltage/Burning, Extreme Painful Cold, Bitting your tongue off

"As far as chakra surges go, an A rank elemental surge would break a B rank Genjutsu. So the elemental surge has to be a rank higher than the Genjutsu you are trying to break. So a S rank Genjutsu, would need a Forbidden rank elemental surge. Also, remember, you first need a reason to break the Genjutsu, before you do it.

Anyway, everything else was good. What do you know about Layering Genjutsu?"

Elijah waits for the two brothers' answer.
