walks to the training ground. This time, it wasn't a typical plain-field training grounds, it was a ominous cave, dark, dull, and mysterious. She sat down legs crossed, and silent. A dim light poured in from the opening of the cave meters and meters from where we met. "So, you wish to learn about the spectacular arts of creating Illusions? To begin, I'd like you to tell me everything and anything you know about Genjutsu in regards to the RP, and how it can be used in battle." Nico Robin returned to her silence and eagerly waited for a response.

Orihime puts down her donuts and starts to explain what she knows about genjutsu.

"Well from what I understand To cast Genjutsu the user uses their chakara to cast an illusion on their opponent by Disrupting the chakara flow in their brain. Genjutsu can be used to fool, scare, attack, or confuse an opponent and can also be used as a form of escape and defense. Some users can dispel genjutsu by disturbing their chakra flow by stopping it for a small amount of time.

Did I skip anything?"

"Well... you have the basic principles of genjutsu. Anything else you know about the topic, or would like to elaborate on before I give you a more thorough explanation?"

"Alright, I will go into more details. There are two types of illusions, active ones that require chakra and passive genjutsus. They are like environmental and visual illusions, basically ones that affect the senses and are generally easier to escape. Active genjutsus include those from Sharingan, normal genjutsu, and sound genjutsu- these are more complicated and harder to deduce because they are generally more advanced and can even manipulate multiple senses. To successfully cast an illusion, you would need to gain control of the enemy's chakra flow in their cerebral nervous system, through your chakra obviously, which would allow you to affect one, or multiple senses out of the five senses. It is generally not a popular area of ninjutsu, but some like Uchiha's, or Kurama clan's are wellrenowned for their extremely advanced genjutsu usages. There are layered genjutsus, where breaking the first illusion will lead to a second one and is more complicated than a normal illusion because they mix two illusions into one. When creating layered illusions, you'd need to use the higher rank first to make sure both illusions are set in place, otherwise only the stronger illusion will be created.

Now tell me, how does one dispel an illusion?"
Nico Robin eagerly asked, and afterwards, sat down as she patiently waited for the students' reply.

"Well from what I know You have to disturb your chakra flow by stopping the chakra flow in your brain for a little while and unbalancing your chakra. The level of genjutsu you can dispel is dependent on your ninja rank, so If you are a Jounin rank you can can dispel Illusions up to C-rank. If you are an S-class ninja can dispel Illusions up to B-rank. And if you are Sannin rank you can dispel Illusions up to A-rank ect." Orihime explained to her new teacher.

Alright, that is known as the Kai technique. To properly dispel an illusion, you need to figure out that you are actually in an illusion. This is down in two different ways. The first is the easiest- notice the fluctuation and the abnormal flow of your chakra. This is generally done through sensing techniques, like Dojutsu. The second one is more complicated and it is relying on your senses and using reasoning to figure out the abnormalities caused by the illusions. For example, if you see a giant flame fist coming your way in an illusion, and the illusion explicitly describes that it only affects the visuals, then you could reason that you did not feel the heat across your face. It is basically using reason to point out the differences from what real life is supposed to be, and what is happening in an illusion. This is more risky, however, because there is always a chance that you may get it wrong. For this training, we'll be practicing how you dispel an illusion through reasoning for each technique."

Nico Robin scrambled through a backpack as she continued to explain, "Alright, ways to break out of an illusion. We know of Kai, to disrupt your normal flow of chakra. Oh, these kinds of Genjutsu disruptor can also be performed to someone which is pretty useful in team fights. Some clans are naturally immune to Illusions though, like the Nekura Clan. Natural energy can disrupt an illusion, through Sage Mode, or Curse Mark activations. Some clans cannot use pain to disrupt an illusion for the most part, like Kaguyas because they are naturally used to pain and have developed a high tolerance for pain.

Another way is through Pain. Pain, if high enough, can "snap" you out of an illusion."
With a single hand motion, she unrolls the contents of the scrolls for the student to see.

D Rank Genjutsu: Chipping a Finger (like one does as he bites to draw blood for a Summoning Jutsu)
C Rank Genjutsu: Low level Physical Attacks, Bitting a chunk of your Cheek
B Rank Genjutsu: Low ranked Taijutsu/Freestyle
A Rank Genjutsu: High ranked Taijutsu, Stabbing Yourself in minor muscle, Cutting yourself, Breaking Smaller bones, Low level Burning/Voltage, Painful Cold
S Rank Genjutsu: EIG/Sage level Taijutsu, Breaking Bones, Deep Stabs or cuts, Medium Voltage/Burning, Extreme Painful Cold, Bitting your tongue off
"So, yeah. The content of the scroll shows the amount of pain needed to break out of certain-ranked genjutsus. This works on nearly everything, but of course, proper reasoning is required! And lastly, a full-body surge can disrupt an illusion and fend off foreign chakra from the enemy. Full-body surges are techniques that release chakra from all your chakra points, thus disrupting the abnormal flow and fending off the foreign chakra, sanctimoniously returning your chakra back to normal. Anyways, questions before we begin the real training? "

"no questions I understand! Although biting my tongue off would be a huge price to pay for getting out of a genjutsu" Orihime said as she shivered at the thought

Nico Robin smiled with pleasure as she began explaining the first technique. "Alright first illusionary technique is one of the most simple one. Though the usefulness of it depends on how you use it. It requires no hand seals, therefore there is no way of knowing that an illusion was cast right off the bat. Send chakra to your enemy's chakra system which would cause it to disrupt the chakra system. Take control of the vision/eye area of the brain, and manipulate it so that you can alter the target's vision. You can change how the terrain looks, like make a sea of grass into a sea of water, however, it is only limited to visual senses. So, if you were to make the terrain into flames, then they'd only see flames, not feel the fire which would allow them to notice that an illusion is in play. You're only allowed to change how a terrain looks, and nothing else. Anyways, perform it on me. Once you're done, explain to me how you would create an illusion that would compliment, or work well with your follow up attacks, and explain the process in which you reason that my clone put you in an illusion." Nico robin creates a clone, and the clone sends chakra to your chakra system, disrupting it, and making you see that the cave walls would have changed into ice.

Orihime watches as the walls of the cave turn to ice, she waits for the temperature in the cave to drop assuming that the ice would cause the temperature in the air to drop. Strangely it doesn't drop, curious she walks over to one of the walls and touches it expecting it to be freezing cold, to her surprise it wasn't cold at all. This is how she figured out it was an illusion.

Orihime then looks at the clone of her sensei and starts to send chakra into her Chakra system disrupting it then she attempts to manipulate the vision of the clone and make it seem as if the floor on the cave around the clone is on fire leaving only the space around herself and the clone. I would use this in battle to distract the enemy so I can attack them easier and by surprise. Orihime says looking up at a her sensei hoping she did well

"Awesomesauce. I love your explanation as to how you came to the realization that it was, indeed, an illusion. Anyways, let's move on." Nico Robin performs a few hand seals, as a physical example to the student. "These five hand seals are needed for the next technique. It is also a visual based technique, thus it is easily noticed as a genjutsu. Simply perform the five hand seals and send chakra to my chakra system. The illusion itself is easy to understand. For the target, he would see you disperse into a shower of cherry blossom petals, which then surrounds the enemy to hinder their vision completely. This allows you to follow up with a whole set of combinations because the target would be unable to see you. Perform it, and tell me how you would attack after casting the illusion. But first things first..." Nico Robin suddenly disappears into a shower of cherry blossom petals - they surround you, and prevent you from seeing Robin. She slowly walks towards you, waiting to see how long it would take to figure out the illusion.

Orihime watched as her sensei dispersed into cherry blossom petals that started to surround her blocking her vision. She stood and thought for a second or two, "Hmmmm.... Isn't it stange, I don't know but i dont think it's exactly normal for people to just randomly turn into cherry blossom petals..." she held onto that thought for a bit and an idea popped into her head. "I got it! That's how I know it's an illusion, because it's abnormal for people to just turn into cherry blossom petals" She said feeling proud of herself.

After that she closes her eyes and makes five hand seals and sends chakra into her senseis chakra system and making it seem that she has dissolved into a bunch of cherry blossom petals that start to surround her sensei.

"Hm... well, that could be a factor of your explanation - though it isn't a very strong arguement. We, as shinobi's, are capable of turning ourselves into water, bending earth, making it rain flames, hence why reasoning like that isn't as strong. Do you have any other thoughts as to how you notice this as an illusion? Keep in mind, it is only visual-based so, use that as a clue." Nico Robin explained, as she maintained the illusion waiting for the student to find the answer.

Orihime stood there lost in thought. Trying her best to think of the answer "Ah! If it's only visual, that would mean if I touched it, it wouldn't really be there right?"she said walking over about touch the cherry blossoms around her

"Basically. Keep in mind, because it is a visual-based genjutsu, by blowing on it, the pettals won't be swayed back, which is another way you can tell that a genjutsu has been placed on you." Nico Robin explained, as the student was dispelled from the illusion. "Nicely done, let's continue. Take out a paper tag - an explosive weapon that is used mostly with ninjutsu and assassinations, but can be applied in genjutsu as well. Perform a single handseal and send your chakra into the targets' chakra system, disrupting it at the same time allowing you to cast an illusion. Right after, throw the paper bomb towards the enemy. To the target, they would see a clone approaching at the speed of the paper bomb, and the paper bomb explodes once it reaches the enemy, or it can explode through a single hand seal, since it is merely a paper tag. Now, perform it to my clone, and I'll perform it towards you afterwards. Please describe how you dispel the illusion, and also, the disadvantage(s) of the technique." Nico Robin whips out a paper tag, ready to attack the student.

"Haha! I knew that... I knew that..." Orihime said tapping the top of her head. She the regained her focus and took out a paper tag. She then made one hand seal and began sending chakra into her senseis clones chakra system and disrupting it. She then throws the explosive tag right afterwards towards the clone, making it appear as if a clone of herself was heading towards her senseis clone. She watched as the paper bomb exploded once it reached her senseis clone, destroying the clone.

Disadvantages: don't know much but this is what I could think of.

- The enemy might find it odd that they don't hear the clone being made but instead they just see it. Another is that sensory ninja won't sense any chakra coming from the clone leading them to realize it's an illusion, also it's possible that they might have expected more hand seals to create a clone, so they might suspect it's genjutsu.

Orihime then saw her sensei cast the illusion on her. She sees the clone advancing towards her she couldn't think of a way to dispel the genjutsu so she attempts stopping the clone buy very quickly grabbing a kunai and throwing it at the clone.

"There are many disadvantages. Because it is a paper tag, it cannot move as fast. If it is windy, the paper tag would most certainly be swayed from side to side, making the illusion obvious. Ways to notice it is that if you threw a kunai at it, it would simply go through (unless you threw it towards the actual tag, which you cant otherwise it would be metagaming.) For example, if you threw it at the leg portion of the 'imaginary clone', it would go through because there is nothing but air in reality. Get it?

Also, What kind of psychological effects do you think would occur if a target saw their worst fears?"

Orihime nods her head. "I understand. And in regards to your second question.... Well, if they saw their worst fears they'd be terrified, probably stunned and scared, or if it's something personal that scares them it might upset them. Maybe throw them off fighting? Or maybe seeing their worst fear would make them paralyzed with fear?"

"Good answer. Now, for the sake of the RP - you aren't able to specifically state how exactly the enemy reacts from the illusion of seeing their worst fears. As shown in the anime, whether or not these affects apply depends on the skills and experience of the target. For example, Sakure fainted at the sight of Sasuke wounded as a result of Kakashi's illusion, but after timeskip, after she's gained a fair amount of experience, the same illusion did not alarm her. The extent of trauma you can create through this technique is limited to only fainting." Nico Robin explained. She creates a clone, and has the clone perform the illusion on the student. Only seconds after, you see your favorite dog, wounded and lying helplessly on the ground. "Break the illusion and once you're done, perform it on me, and tell me what you think about this technique; do you like it, or not and why?"

( Magen: Narakumi ) - Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short

Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.
