Genjutsu vs Rinnegan

Would sharingan genjutsu work on rinnegan users like Nagato ??
Rinnegan is said to be the most powerful dojutsu.

There is no proof either way.nobody with rinnegan has been put under visual genjutsu. but its title as most powerful dojutsu is offering to things the sharingan and byakugan can't do . like absorb jutsu snatch souls etc

Genjutsu would affect Nagato himself like any normal ninja. Genjutsu affect chakra flow to the brain, thats how it works. However, it wouldn't work on the Six paths of pein being that the original Nagato simply has to disrupt their chakra flow (via the rods) and they'd snap right out of it.

If your referring to the Six Paths of Pein, No. If you mean Nagato himself? Yes, given very ideal conditions itachi could place nagato under a genjtusu and possibly finish him off during that small time. He has no other chances of winning besides an ideal condition however, and neither is he stronger than Nagato.

I think the dojutsu gives the weilder enhanced abilities to fight genjutsu, but it is possible to do it. Somebody extremely powerful, and intelligence might be able to resist. Through the Rinnegan in there, and I'd say it's near impossible. This is speculation, of course, because the parameters with genjutsu keeps changing, and more and more ways to resist and dispel them come out of butt **** nowhere. There's no real answer, I guess.

If genjutsu worked then itachi would've used it against edo nagato instead of using amaterasu. IMO it does not work
