It even grants you the privilege of making your opponent think that everything around you is reality but simultaneously it is all a sham.

But what i'm indicating at is that there has been plenty of times where Uchihas could of soloed a great amount of opponents just by stabbing them with a kunai after they have made contact with the godlike eyes...

Why wouldn't he just solo Hashirama at that instance of a glance and end the Leaf village and gain revenge on Tobirama??? But instead he had to go all badass and give a imposing threat

Of course if you have a standard Mangekyou Sharingan, it will have side effects and your opponent will be free of your illusion eventually.

Plus, the Uchiha have a +5 advantage by just having the sharingan and mangaekyou sharingan.


A genjutsu battle between say, Orochimaru and Kurenai would be impressive. Both rank high with genjutsu and neither has sharingan to cop-out of unbreakable mental manipulation like Uchiha's do.

All he ever has to do is put them in a genjutsu that mimics the environment and stab them in the face in real life.

I prefer taijutsu and ninjutsu but my point is that 'genjutsu' is not used oftenly because Kishimoto knows that it could obliterate almost the entire roster...

Nardo has supreme genjutsu resistance with Bijuu and RSM, why do you think Nardo was never attacked with genjutsu in their whole fight? I do agree genjutsu is broken as hell and under rated though.

Sidenote: Bee is a jin so he has genjutsu resistance, so his bijuu is able to break him out of alot of genjutsu since they have good cooperation.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. With the bijuus captivated and partially sealed by chibaku tensei, Naruto is limited to their chakra and only basic strength to repel against a genjutsu.(an uchiha genjutsu at that one) Yes he still had the other half of Kurama to help, but that wouldn't be enough to fight off the rinnegan's power at that level.

Providing greater context to the situation.

Itachi knows and Kisame notes what using the Mangekyou sharingan does to the users eyes and how much chakra is consumes. Itachi used it on Kakashi to end the fight as quickly as possible, at the cost of his eyesight. Imagine if Itachi didn't use tsukiyomi (3 secs) when he did.

Gai would've shown up. Itachi and Gai would've been outnumbered and outmatched and their plan (get intel on Naruto/let Danzo know he was still alive) would've been ruined. Itachi and Kisame are bingo book criminals. Meaning Kakashi and company wouldn't have pulled their punches in the fight.
