After a few days of traveling Ganondorf finally arrives to Kirigakure, were he expects to learn Genjutsu from one of the best in the business. "Finally, one step closer" he said as his goal now is to gain as much power as possible to defeat the sages.

After listening to his new sensei, Ganondorf replies to all of his questions;

"Chakra is the moulding of the physical energy. It is present in every cell of the body and the spiritual energy gained from exercise and experience. Once moulded, it can be channelled through the chakra circulatory system, which is to chakra as the regular circulatory system is to blood, to any of the 361 chakra points (called tenketsu) in the body. Through various methods, the most common of which is hand seals, the chakra can then be manipulated to create an effect that would not be possible otherwise, such as walking on water, exhaling fire or creating illusions"

He pauses for a second and continues to say;

"Ninjas are basically the military force of a village. From what I know there's different ranks of ninjas"

"Genjutsu is similar to ninjutsu as they both require the use of chakra and hand seals but genjutsu is different because you don't target their body with weapons, attacks and whatnot. With genjutsu the user targets the opponent's mind meaning: you send your chakra onto your opponent and place him under a illusion although some genjutsu techniques require eye contact. Once your opponent is trapped under the illusion they feel pain, depression, fear etc etc but of course that depends on the genjutsu the user performs. Now on how to release yourself from one: first you have to realize you're trapped in one then depending on the rank of the genjutsu technique you can cause pain to yourself by either cutting yourself, biting some of your lip off etc but I read through the jutsus and I know there is the jutsu Kai which allows to user to free themselves from one by disturbing their chakra flow. People who genjutsu in are Itachi, Sasuke, Kurenai, just to name a few. and I want to learn genjutsu because I want to become strong in this rp and to hopefully one day submit some gen customs"

A bit rushed........

Good, but I will add a bit more.

Make sure you give both this quotes and the link a read.

How to dispel a Genjutsu and why

Simple answer lies in what is a Genjutsu. Genjutsu is a disruption of your normal chakra flow that makes you experience an illusion as it scrambles your chakra. We have gone through that so you might ask how does this help?

Ok, if a Genjutsu is a disruption in your own chakra flow, to dispel it you need to create a stronger disruption that will clear that one and leave your chakra on its normal state. So basically, there is only one way to dispel genjutsu: disrupting your chakra flow.

Now, this can be done in 3 basic ways:

1- Altering the balance between physical and spiritual energies in your chakra by disturbing your physical energy. This is done by producing pain. Pain comes from the body and thus it makes your physical energy fluctuate. Because of this fluctuation your chakra flow experiences a spike. This spike is a disturbance that will dispel other disturbances present in your chakra.

2- Altering the balance between physical and spiritual energies in your chakra by disturbing your spiritual energy. This is done by your sheer will power. Its done by forcefully creating a surge of chakra in your body by spiking your spiritual energy. It can be done in 2 ways: through a technique named Kai and through other techniques, like Nagashi, that will produce a high enough surge of chakra through your body.

3- Altering your chakra flow through the introduction of foreign chakra. This can be done by an ally or by entering for example, sage mode or being a jinchuriki. The truth is that as foreign chakra enters your system or another energy (natural energy), your chakra flow becomes altered and thus releases from the genjutsu.

All of these produce a reset-like effect on your chakra flow, making it return to normal.
Also here is everything you covered plus a little more.

±± Genjutsu ±±
Genjutsu, or Illusionary Arts, unlike ninjutsu, don't produce a real, palpable, feasible effect; it produces an illusionary effect. With a specific KG however, the illusions can become so strong that the body will be fooled into mimicking in real life the fake effects its perceiving through the illusion. There exists two types of Genjutsu: the passive, non chakra fueled ones (basically illusions to our senses like visual paradoxes and such which have little use in the RP and can be easily overcome through experience and logic) and the active, chakra fueled ones. Within the active chakra fueled ones two subtypes exist: Dojutsu induced Genjutsu and Normal Genjutsu.

Genjutsu works by using chakra to disturb the chakra flow of the opponent, specially in the brain, altering his senses. By doing this you can make him perceive any thing his senses are capable of: pain, heat, cold, tickles, iching, etc etc. A ninja can make the opponent taste, smell, feel, see or hear anything he wants. However, because this is done by using your chakra to manipulate his chakra flow, the ninja needs to be close or, many times, have direct eye contact or even physical contact. This is the main limitation of Genjutsu: range. The further you are away from your opponent, the harder it is to induce the fluctuation on his chakra flow to produce the genjutsu.

How exactly does it work? Well, every one has a balanced chakra flow. The chakra flows in a balanced combination of both physical and spiritual energies. The ratio between them vary from person to person (that is how each person has a different chakra signature) but its always calm and balanced. To produce a genjutsu, a ninja uses his chakra to disturb that balance in a controlled way. This is done in a similar way to ninjutsu, throught both focusing and molding chakra. A fluctuation is then created in the targets chakra "wave length" and makes it fluctuate in a given way. This produces the illusion by scrambling the users link between his Spirit and his Body which effectively is the link between his mind and his senses. To make your chakra be capable of doing the correct fluctuation, you need to use, most of the times, handseals. These help you mold and shape and focus your chakra to the correct wave length you want to induce, thus enabling you to use it to disturb the targets chakra flow.
Any questions?

So; before we start the techniques you have been given a choice. Template or other training method.

So idea is simple, I will post the techniques and I will ask you to analyse them for me, for example: how to use it in battle, how to counter it, what is good about this technique (pros), what is bad about it (cons), what you like about it and etc. I think you pretty much get what I mean. The "How to perform" - part is a bit, not needed for, but you are more than welcome to perform it, if you don't understand the technique. It's better if we focus on the important things, like actually analysing the whole technique and knowing how to use it in a fight. Only filling the template is boring and sometimes not fun. I want to make this training as enjoyable as I can, I know templates can be boring and dull at times.

Something below are basic guidelines to use:

Example of points for every technique
+ How to be used in a battle
+ How to be countered in a battle
+ Some advantages and disadvantages
+ Your personal opinion about the technique

Do you have any questions about method?

Or you can chose to use this template:

PHP:
One/three advantages:

1.

2.

3.

One/three disadvantages:

1.

2.

3.

How you would use it in battle:
How you would counter it:
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
Your choice. ^^

After reading the description of this technique, I was surprised of how useful this technique can be, despite it's rank. The fact that you can basically change the way the terrain where a battle is taking place is very intriguing, I must say, Sensei-kun.

Now this technique can be great, of course depending on where the battle is taking place, wether it's on a water source or on a rocky terrain. Now lets say, you and I are currently fighting on a water source, I can take advantage of the fact that this technique doesn't require any hand seals, which in my opinion is a plus and I'm going to use an example, bare with me please;

You are currently standing mid-range from me, I could gather some raw chakra and send onto you, whilst at the same time, I crouch and place my hand (s) on the water source, thus making it seem as if I were using a water technique, when in reality, all I did was send my raw chakra into you, to make you believe that there are walls of water surrounding you. Now, if these were to work, Sensei-kun, your character would believe that he has been trapped, thus blocking his vision of my character whilst I could still see you. This would greatly work in my favour, not to say, that it also limits you to certain techniques. And that is just one example, the same can be done on a rocky terrain or one with sand, etc.

Now, moving on. I will talk now about how to counter this technique. Let me start by saying that I believe that before one starts a fight, they should first study their surroundings. This can help you later on in fights and against techniques like this one, were the opponent, manipulates his surroundings, changing them. Now, lets say I am fighting someone in a plain field or a grassy field, really doesn't matter and suddenly the terrain has changes and there's now large pillars or a hole on the ground, this just an example, and my opponent didn't really do anything but just stand there, I would think how did he get that done when no hand seals were performed? or when he never made contact with the ground by placing his hands on it? that's when I come to the conclusion that my opponent has placed me under a illusion.

These little things are the things that can determine weather your illusion works or not. You have think and perform your techniques with great detail. A great thing about this technique is, what I already said above, it doesn't require any hand seals, so if you can do the little things, to make it more believable then this technique can be hands down, really useful. In my honest opinion, there isn't really good disadvantages to point out, the disadvantage would be the user, if he fails to give enough detail.

I really like this technique, I would put it in the same category as the D-rank earth release technique and the D-rank water one, were despite being D-ranks, all three techniques can be really helpful.

Woah. That was something, that was overly impressive. I don't think I even need to add anything, but I will say for a D-rank, and for how simple it is. It is great.

(Genjutsu: Kasumi) - Illusion Technique: Servant
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user does one handseal and throws a paper bomb at the enemy. The enemy, trapped in a genjutsu will see a clone of the user advancing upon him. As the paper bomb reaches the enemy, it explodes

So how about this one? As soon as you perform the seal your target is in the genjutsu, and what happens once they are in the genjutsu?

Okay, I just read the description of this technique.

I will start off by saying that since the opponent gets trapped in the genjutsu right after you perform the one hand seal, this technique can actually be pretty cool. At first I thought that he was placed under the illusion after throwing the paper bomb at the enemy, making this technique useless in my opinion.

Why I think this technique is cool? well simple, like you stated, the opponent is trapped in the genjutsu right after you perform the needed hand seal, which changes my opinion of this technique. After the user performs the hand seals the opponent is trapped in the illusion, but that one hand seal is the key to everything with this technique, I will explain.
The shadow clone technique, yes, that technique requires only one hand seal, which allows you to create up to four shadow clones in this rp. So when you throw the paper bomb at your target, he believes that the thing approaching him/her is a clone. This of course can be deadly if your opponent tries to get rid of the clone with free form tactics or close combat, like taijutsu and kenjutsu.

Now, yes, while your opponent's character sees a clone, the person role playing as that character knows that it's an illusion so that's were the disadvantage of this technique comes from in my opinion. Why? simple, I see this technique as a way to make my opponent fight the clone in close range as its head towards him but my opponent is smarter than that, he will probably throw a jutsu at the clone (paper bomb) causing to explode and realizing that it's a genjutsu. Now the illusion can you time to prepare an attack but that's how I see it.

I like the technique but I honestly don't see myself using it that much in the future. I don't rate it as high as the previous technique we learned but overall if used correctly it can be a solid technique.

I don't need to add anything else! You covered it all, good job!

(Kasumi Jūsha no Jutsu) - Mist Servant Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

So this technique, let's talk about it. DO you think it could be useful?

I honestly don't see myself using this technique.

The user starts off by sending his chakra onto his opponent, placing them under an illusion. Clones begin to appear from the ground and depending on the terrain, from trees, water etc. You can then direct these clones to attack your opponent and if they get attacked they multiply which in my opinion gives the opponent a reason to believe that he has been placed under an illusion. The opponent can use a technique like the peacock whirlwind which is a wind technique that by performing a slash with one's sword they release wind that surrounds them, the clones get hit and boom, they multiply. That right there doesn't logical so in my opinion that gives my opponent the idea that he has been placed under a gen.

Now the technique doesn't say how many clones you can create but we all know that in this rp you can only make four. So if I ever use this technique, I'd probably make no more than four. But this technique if used with good description, allows you to pressure your opponent, by sending each clone to attack by different locations, allowing you, the user to perform an attack on your target.

I really don't have much to say about this technique. I really don't find it interesting, so forgive me if I missed something?
I'll also be able to reply everyday since I'm on summer vacation. Yay!

Doing well, one more D-rank until C-ranks!

(Magen: Narakumi) - Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.

What can you tell me about this one?

I don't like it to be honest and I will probably never use it. The user performs two hand seals that cause the opponent to see a bunch of leaves surrounding him, the leaves then would fall away after a few seconds and then the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint. lol It just doesn't make sense to me. Why would an image of the thing or person you fear the most appear after some leaves surround you and then fall back on the ground? I just don't see it working.

Also lets say you and your opponent are fighting on a terrain that doesn't have any trees around, for example in the ocean or on a rocky place, where do the leaves come from? in my opinion that just gives it away right away. No trees in the ocean so where do they come from? Now even if you were fighting in a forest it just's random as hell. Now to release yourself from this technique is quite simple, after realizing that you've been trapped in a illusion, you could use the Kai technique which I think I'm going to learn soon, or just release yourself through pain. Since this is a D-rank a cut could work I think. So maybe you could bite one of your fingers to cause the pain. Lastly, I don't see any advantages, I don't see this technique helping me winning a fight. Hope I covered everything.

I teach Kai last, so make sure you get your post count up. Since it is a multi-rank technique.

(Kori Shinchū no Jutsu) - Sly Mind Affect Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

Okay so this technique can only work on an already moving target, one you insert your chakra into their brain, they will think they are moving in a straight line, but really they are going in circles, this gen will make them move all the time, and if you are able to pull this off, the target will be exhausted in a few short hours. Range is neat too.

This is a nice technique. I can see myself using this and coming up with different combinations. If my opponent's first aggressive action is running towards me I can easily see myself starting the battle with this technique. Normally after learning a technique I take a few minutes to come up with combinations, looking forward to do that with this technique.

Now Once the opponent starts dashing/running towards you send your chakra onto them, the thing that also makes this technique really cool for me is that it doesn't require hand seals. The person trapped in the genjutsu would think why they don't reach the target and if a hand seal were necessary to perform this technique then, that in my opinion could give it away. Now to make the genjutsu more believable I would run towards my target or run in circles surrounding him so that he doesn't see me just standing there and come up with a jutsu that would finish them.

I assume this technique can be used on more than one person? also, do you think it'll work against a summon?
