Yeah I noticed, but no problem!Sorry. Forgot to subscribe lolol
Ok! Now, if i remember correctly you haven't really been trained in genjutsu at all right?
I always start with a bit of a "thoeretical" class. I need you to, in yuor own words, explain to me what the following concepts are:
Ninja
Chakra
Ninjutsu
Taijutsu
Elements
Elemental Ninjutsu
Genjutsu
^^
I expected nothing less. Good job ^^Yeah I noticed, but no problem!
Ninja: In the narutoverse ninjas are the main military power for each country. There are countless types of ninja, most of which rely on chakra to perform techniques. Others specialize on using weapons, hand to hand combat, and sword play etc. Ninjas from different countries fight each other in wars, some are allied with each other. In time of peace the ninjas are assigned to missions to receive some income.
Chakra: Is the fuel to perform most of the ninja techniques. It is done by concentrating on the spiritual and physical energy that comes from the body. Chakra is connected inside the ninjas body with its own circulatory system.
Ninjutsu: Is the way chakra is mostly used in. With the use of ninjutsu the ninja focuses and releases chakra out in the open to use. There are two main ways to use, shape manipulation and nature transformation. Shape manipulation is where you force the chakra itself into a desired shape or form or even how it travels. The other is nature transformation, and that's when the ninja adds a certain elemental type of chakra into a ninjutsu technique to make it more powerful or have different effects.
Taijutsu: Means hand to hand combat and its what every ninja knows and utilizes in battle. Taijutsu relies on physical strength/speed and not so much in chakra. In the narutovese we have seen some taijutsu masters like Lee or Gai that solely rely on taijutsu. The highest level a ninja can achieve with taijutsu is by opening the eight inner gates. The Eight Gates are eight specific points on a ninjas body in the Chakra circulatory system. By undergoing intense training, one can learn how to open these gates, allowing the user to surpass their own physical limits. However it comes at the cost of extreme damage to their own body when used.
Genjutsu: Is a way of fighting by inserting ones own chakra into the opponents brain. By manipulating that chakra the user can disrupt the opponents chakra flow and create illusions in their mind. The main use of genjutsu is to delay or distract the opening to give an opening to attack him from some other way. There are three other types of genjutsu that I can think of. One would be sharigan genjutsu's which require eye contact in order to insert the chakra. I don't know much about sharigan genjutsu just that it is much more deadlier and harder to get out of. Then we have MS genjutsu which are on a whole new level, being able to manipulate time and space inside the users mind, making him suffer for weeks when in reality its only been one second. The last one I can think of would be the Kurama Clan and they have the ability to cause effects within genjutsu to cause tangible effects that occur in reality. The genjutsu is so powerful that it causes the brain to make anything that happens to the victim within the genjutsu physically real, allowing the clan member to potentially kill their opponents with genjutsu.(I copy pasted the last thing about the fuma clan)
Elements: Is what ninjas use along with chakra to perform powerul and deadly techniques for battle. The main five elements would be earth, water, lighting, wind, and fire. These chakra types are combined with regular chakra creating a whole new chakra type revolving around the selected element. Once the chakra type is focused, the ninja will use shape manipulation or hand seals to create deadly techniques. In the narutoverse we've learned that each ninja can have up to two elemental affinities. But in somecases due to rare abilities some have been able to use all basic five elements. In our RP we can use all basic five. Along the lines of the basic five lie the special elements, most of which are created by combining some of the basic five elements together. Some of the special elements that I can think of from the top of my head would be Rain, Lava, Wood, Crystal, Swift, Dark, Ice, Storm, Boil, Steel, Steam, Sound, Bones, and Magnetism.
Elemental Ninjutsu: Like I stated above, after focusing on a certain elemental chakra type, the user will shape and manipulate the chakra to create powerful techniques to battle with. Each and every element has at least one weakness so its pretty balanced when battling with them.
Yeah I wanted to include that chakra for taijutsu is like the stamina of the ninja. But I kept thinking of Lee and his chakra problems so I decided not to include it. But yeah that's one of the reasons why the EIG were invented.I expected nothing less. Good job ^^
However, just a few tweaks.
Chakra IS the combination of both physical and spiritual energies. It exists passively as both those energies combine within a ninja. You don't need to focus on it to create it. It sustains life actually.
Taijutsu is powered by chakra as the ninja himself, his life, is powered by chakra. If you move your hand from your hip to your head you use chakra. The thing is that Taijutsu relies more on the physical energy part of chakra and you don't mold chakra to execute Taijutsu. You passively consume it. Think of it as fuel. If chakra wasn't such a big part of traijutsu, you wouldn't need to open the inner gates. Opening the inner gates powers up your body by releasing the limiters in your chakra system.
Otherwise, great answer ^^
Now, i want you to tell me something. Yes, genjutsu acts by disturbing and disrupting the chakra flow in the targets brain, manipulating their 5 senses to make the target perceive an illusion. But how do you release or counter something that isn't real?^^
Would performing a technique of higher rank than the genjutsu itself be enough to disrupt the opponents chakra? Sorry for the dumb questions, I was never able to get much info on genjutsu for the RP.All correct but as my student and since Genjutsu is one of my specialties i'll enlighten you with the basic concept which will aid you specially when you are to build CJs and to teach others.
The only thing you need to do to dispel/release a genjutsu is to disturb your chakra flow (either by making it fluctuate or by making it stop momentarily) with a stronger disturbance than that that is being done by your enemy. You basically need to overpower his disturbance of your chakra.
This can be done in 3 basic ways:
-By yourself, using the technique you posted to forcefully disturb your chakra flow (this is done by altering the spiritual part of your chakra, since its done by your "Will" or "conscience")
-By pain, stabbing yourself or something similar to disturb your chakra flow (this is done by altering the physical part of your chakra, since its done by your "Body" or "physic")
-By a foreign source, either by having an ally disturb your chakra flow by inserting his own chakra in yourself or by having another energy at the mix, like biju chakra or natural energy (again, all of this disturbs the balance in your chakra thus overcoming the fluctuation your enemy has forced on you)
Questions Mathias? ^^
I teach this a bit differently than most people, so if you find it confusing, please tell me ^^
Depends. A new rule was added regarding dispelling genjutsu. Its says that following:Would performing a technique of higher rank than the genjutsu itself be enough to disrupt the opponents chakra? Sorry for the dumb questions, I was never able to get much info on genjutsu for the RP.
And don't worry, I like you way of teaching. Not confusing at all ^^
This is the official rule. But this is very subjective. Remember the first technique wee had from onoki? Aggravated rock? The description said that you'd release a burst of unfocused earth chakra from your whole body and thus it would petrify whomever would be touching you. That for me counted as a technique that had the possibility to dispel genjutsu. However, Mugiwara stated otherwise.Genjutsu Release restrictions:
►When coming to release genjutsu techniques there are a few methods available that can help remove the affects. There basic of methods is through the appliance of pain for example stabbing oneself with a kunai in the leg can cause pain throughout the body and breaking genjutsu up to S rank level and Doujutsu up to A rank level. Members who posses sage modes are invulnerable to Genjutsu and doujutsu except Mangekyo level genjutsu. Bijuu who possess full control and of the rank of Kage are able to disrupt the chakra flow from the opponents Genjutsu. Techniques that produce a sufficient chakra surges thought the users body may disrupt genjutsu of the rank below the used technique for example Chidori Nagashi A rank lightning technique can disrupt genjutsu of up to B rank.
Note: Lip biting or biting of tounge doesn’t cause enough pain to break free from genjutsu so this method is unallowed, however biting tounge off completely could work but obviously without its risks.
Yeah, I've seen the CM being used to get out of genjutsu. Going by that rule does it mean that I can only dispel up to B-Rank genjutsu because the CM is A-Ranked?Depends. A new rule was added regarding dispelling genjutsu. Its says that following:

So, to make it simple i disregard in my fights those releases. Its just too dubious and without complete proof from the manga. But, you can, if you want to argue, use many techniques to that effect. Basically any technique that causes your chakra to burst from you. In that case, an A-Rank can dispel up to b.rank, etc etc etc.
Questions?
PM me ^^Yeah, I've seen the CM being used to get out of genjutsu. Going by that rule does it mean that I can only dispel up to B-Rank genjutsu because the CM is A-Ranked?
And how can I get out of a forbidden ranked genjutsu? I have a medical way to get out of genjutsu overall. But if you'd like to know, I'll PM you. Don't want other people to find out how just yet xD
Well maybe not a cannon genjutsu but I've seen custom F-Ranked gens like this one.PM me ^^
CM is a tricky business. The question is, how much chakra does it inject in you? It does inject foreign chakra into you but it might only be enough to actually dispel up to same rank genjutsu.
The question is: how can there be a forbidden ranked genjutsu? Think of it. I think you'll understand. But if there is a way to logically purpose one, then it would be a question of making you feel enough pain to release from it or having just a massive injection of foreign chakra into you that it dispels. The principle behind it would be the same.
* Stands short ranged from you *The principle for releasing from it is the same. You just need more power from that which you use to release from it ^^
Now, you have learned Kai, which you have already posted ^^ Remember that its use is limited and that people will mostly put "no kai" in their fights. But still, you have learned it. Now, come here closer to me and try something. I want you to use your chakra to make me see and feel a wall in front of me blocking my vision from you. You must concentrate hard on this one. It will be tricky. ^^
*A small pebble appears on the ground in front of me and vanishes after a second or so** Stands short ranged from you *
As I have you in front of me, I insert chakra into your brain disrupting your own chakra flow. Then an illusion will appear in front of you (unknown to you that its an illusion) of a tall and wide wall of flames. You will think the wall is real from the heat that is being emitted from the fire itself.
Bear with me on genjutsu descriptions. This is totally different than doing basic five or ninjutsu xD
Okay, I just wanted to add a bit of taste to it to make it believable and not a genjutsu XD*A small pebble appears on the ground in front of me and vanishes after a second or so*
O_O"""
Well, the flame part is the reason this failed. Its something too advanced for you. Simple make a wall of bricks and stone. Nothing fancy about it. Remember its a D-Rank technique you are learning.
Nice!!! *KAI!*Okay, I just wanted to add a bit of taste to it to make it believable and not a genjutsu XD
As I have you in front of me, I insert chakra into your brainm disrupting your own chakra flow. I then cause an illusion to appear in front of you (unknown to you that its an illusion) of a brink wall tall and wide enough to block your view of me.
YayNice!!! *KAI!*
Well you've learned your first Genjutsu!!!!
(Genjutsu: Kokohin) - Illusion Technique: False surrounding
Rank: D
Type:Supplementary
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:10(+5 if you use it double)
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user controls creates a false surrounding which can change the way an object or small area looks(if used double then its a layer of false surroundings not easy noticed by the enemy).
Reading the jutsu, what do you think its the best use for it...its main disadvantages, a good combo for it, etc etc ^^
Nah. ways to counter isn't necessary. I might sometimes require you to state ways to detect it. Also, another use for this is for example to change the appearance of your weapon or a given attack. The vague description allows you to play with this a lot ^^Yay
Strong pointsWeak points
- A good way to cause a distraction
Combinations-strategies
- The biggest disadvantage with this technique is that it can only be used in short range.
- It could be easily dispelled by kai.
One combo I could think of is to cause a dome of earth to rise above my target and cause him to want to use a lighting technique, most likely nagashi. When in reality I'm following it up with a water technique so that he can electrocute himself. Or I could simply make him think he is surrounded by a cylinder of fire, getting get exhausted by the heat of the fire, while I run a chidori through his chest.
Ways to counter this technique I don't know if I should include this for future techniques? Its pretty much the same three things xD
So I could change lets say... a water blast to look like a fire blast? But from what I can tell, the only good use for genjutsu is by creating a CJ. As most cannons are short ranged. Or lazy fistNah. ways to counter isn't necessary. I might sometimes require you to state ways to detect it.
