. They can counter it, but seeing as it's Hashirama's jutsu, he defeats them before they do. If anyone else used it on them, it's countered easily.

Kabuto's sound Genjutsu is leagues above, as it requires no prep time or summons.

too much prep time to use SM and then too much prep time for that genjutsu

most fights involve uchiha, genjutsu on them is useless, at the same time uchiha usually outnumbered, hence his genjutsu is easily dispelled.

We rarely have 1vs1 fights now to benefit genjutsu
