Genjustu.. The key to unlocking MS?

Many theories have come up regarding Rin's death and possible manipulation of Obio and/or kakashi. The theory being that Obito was put under genjustu by Madara to believe he witnessed the death of his beloved Rin at kakashi's hands.. And the same for kakashi but from his point of view. I don'necessarily believe that's how it went down, however it makes you wonder.. To unlock MS all the user has to do is have 3 tomoe in each eye and have someone very important such as a best friend die an feel the pain.. Genjustu could be the key to do it. What do you think?

Thats a good theory but people with 3 tomoe sharigans can already see through most genjutsu.

It doesnt work that way. See the spoiler, Obito and Kakashi first unlock 3 Tomoe Sharingan and then the MS.

Well ur theory might be correct. But according to Itachi he said that until when one who is very close is killed by ur own hand b4 MS is activated, he neva mentioned or said anitin about feeling of any pain. Also, when Obito took Sasuke after Itachi's death, he narrated to him the history of Uchiha, explaining and describing events of killing relatives in order to achieve the MS. So, my theory is that Madara might have used tsukoyomi on Kakashi resulting in Rin's death, angering Obito, thus making him succumb to his own will without further thought on the issue. I will call that 'dividing subterfuge', well it might not sound pleasing.

It would be pretty lulzy if Madara trolled them both to kill Rin and unlock the Mangekyo

NOBODY so far has unlocked MS without having 3 tomoe. As far as we know its a necessary progression.

According to Itachi for many years Uchiha have killed their best friends in order to try and achieve MS but not all were successful... If you kill your best friend and shed no tears it's likely that they weren't as close to you as you thought. Sasuke cried over his brother, Itachi probably cried for Shisui, whether Madara cried is debatable, however I'm sure he felt the pain of losing his best friend but sacrificed it for more power. And btw all Obito did was witness the death of Rin.. He didn't kill her himself, therefore saying that he had to kill his best friend in order to obtain it is flawed.
