Village busting shinra tensei is the issue here, which the kage duo would undoubtedly push him to using, as together they're far too much for the 6POP without it. If they can still fight after being hit by that, I give it to kage duo.

They lose fighting by themselves, though.

CT solos if Pain can place Preta within the chameleon along with the CT center sphere. Preta can absorb any jutsu used to try and break the sphere ( although they wouldn't even be able to see whats causing the attraction) so they still lose to CT

Can Nagato use Preta's abilities while using CT at the same time? Doesn't it strain him greatly just to use CT?

And CT is a technique he only used as a last resort vs Naruto, so it's not something he'll spam to start when in character, I wouldn't think.

And Mu could just fly above and take out the chameleon/CT while Gengetsu distracts preta, as well. Which would also kill Deva, which ends this fight cause the other paths are far below the kage duo in ability.

I wouldn't see why not, he was still using them when revived? (I'm assuming this is prime pain)

Yeah that was against a kid with the nine tails who he wanted un harmed plus he had just used CST. This is against two kage, I wouldn't be surprised if he uses it much earlier.

How could Mu fly above when he's being sucked into the middle? If he tries to shoot down the source of the magnetic pull with Jinton it gets absorbed by the Preta Path guarding it from within the chameleon, so CT still takes them out.

The mist would be absorbed btw its chakra made.

Rinnegan can see Mu's invisibility and Gengetsu's clam.

They lose low-med diff. Lets not underestimate Tendo Path here.

Mu isn't flying anywhere with BT pulling him. Preta could deal with Jinton or sudden ST could intercept Mu before he could use it.

Gengetsu could be impaled with chakra rods and paralyzed, even if physical attacks aren't effective against him, he could still be paralyzed via Outer path. After that Human Path could suck his soul out or Preta could drain him to death.

They lose mid high diff the first, and mid diff the second. Gengetsu probably loses low/mid diff.

Pein wins both scenarios,

--rain tiger at will acting as a means of contact sensing renders the clam genjutsu and muus invisibility useless, as the clam gets taken out by missiles and muu gets drawn in by BT and restrained by multiple chakra rods allowing ningendo to finish him off

--jinton gets absorbed by preta, whilst joki boys AOE can be evaded through bird long enough for pein to finish the weakened mizukage off
