General issue with Minato Namikaze

At first I didn't feel the need to make this thread. However, I felt it was necessary to draw this out.

Now, like many other characters, Minato has a piss load of fanboys. They do spout the most ridiculous things. However, foolish as they may be, they have a right to a view on any character they wish. Now this is not the main point I want to highlight. The main issue I have is the disgusting way many people seem to talk down to Minato fans. Many people (a minority in comparison with the amount of people on the base), seem to think they are some sort of royalty, and that those who oppose their view are full blown idiots. They actually speak to them as if they are actually stupid human beings. I don't think I need to find examples of this, i'm sure everyone has seen examples of this in various threads.

I find it shocking that some people seem to think talking down on others is acceptable, when this is a forum and people are supposed to share their views. Despite being one of the most overrated characters on this base, Minato has easily become the most hated, and the attitude towards his fans by some others is quite shameful. Even with Sasuke haters, it is generally directed at the character himself, not the fans. But with Minato, this has extended towards his fans, with them being regularly ridiculed now. Minato threads are spammed just so he and his fans can be ridiculed. If you see nonsense posts by fanboys, just ignore it.

This isn't about hate for Minato, it's about the hate for his fans.

Good job, mate. I was going to make this exact same post. I have been on this forum for less than 2 weeks, and I am amazed at the lack of maturity and decency on this board. This isn't to say that EVERYONE is an idiot or rude, just that a lot of people do come off this way.

There isn't a problem disagreeing with peoples' opinions. That, of course, is fine. But calling someone an 'idiot', or a 'noob', or anything else derogatory just because you disagree with them is unacceptable. Differing opinions is what makes a forum like this possible. Debate is healthy, discussing different views is a good thing. But a lot of people here need to grow up.

Absolutely. The point is not the disagreeing, it is HOW they are going about it. Like I said, discussion is healthy. Insulting someone just because they do not think the exact same way that you do isn't acceptable.

I have had several encounters with people who try to talk down to me whenever I give ideas about Minato. That is where I put them in their place by telling them something similar to this.

I agree with this in whole. Don't attack the fans for being fans, you can hate the character all you want but don't insult people.

This is a place where we all can come together and speak our minds about our common interst.

Don't make this an ugly place where no one longer wish to come. I joined this base for the fact I have no one ( exept my girl who just got into naruto) around me who likes or even knows what I'm talking about.

I find it rude and immature to put people down on here. Remember they like the same show as you. Respect that.

finally disagreement's are going to happen, what I do when someone is being stubbern is find the proove then Pwn them.

I don't care how much someone loves a certain character. Insulting that person for something so.... unimportant only accomplishes 2 things;

1.) It makes you look rather simple

2.) Causes problems. More importantly, problems that could have easily been avoided.

I don't think that anyone will disagree with me when I say that we all enjoy it here. That's why we come back. We're just saying that it would be a MUCH nicer, healthier forum if people weren't so close-minded, and so quick to attack someone for no reason.
