Has anyone on this site taken a genealogy test? What were your results? I recently signed up with 23andMe and am waiting for my results

Mix of R1a markers. Considering I live in Eastern Europe, have Polish, Belarusian and Russian ancestry, not surprised.

I'm Scottish, Welsh, and Scandinavian. No surprise due to viking conquest. I like my Scandinavian heritage though; I suppose that is literal Stockholm syndrome.

The option I chose included ancestry, haplogroups and Neanderthal DNA which went for 99$ on 23andMe, I think AncestryDNA is 79$ atm

I'll post my results here when I get them!

I thought it was more expensive. O_O Those seem like reasonable prices for something like that.

A long time ago it went for as high as 1,000$! thankfully it's decreased since then xD

Mother: Xhosa with a negligible San ancestry(way way back)
Xhosa(basically who I identify with)

Father: Xhosa with negligible South Indian ancestry + plus rumored Dutch(which I try to hide as much as possible)
South Indian(cause of my ridiculous hair and yeah weird Surname)

As for harmful traits, I am an albinism carrier. I wouldn't call that harmful though.

I expect to be majority West African, a little European, possibly English and Italian, and a little Arawak Native.
