Most of us must have represented a female member in a post by he/his/him. It is always confusing to not have an icon displaying gender of the person.
i suggest that we all must have an icon which should show gender in a post.
does anyone agree?

Why do you care if someone is a male/female. This isn't a dating website, so the gender thing doesn't add anything.. well, except the gender confused trolls who think it's funny to act like a girl.

because i get some replies like "i m a girl, you fool"
confusion rotates the mind till it vibrates and then dissociate the whole mind

Gender shouldn't really matter on the internet. You're simply discussing things with other people over a screen, not having real life conversations with them. If something like that bothers people that much, they can simply include their gender in their status/ava/sig.

Wut, no.

Gender shouldn't matter. Whether or not someone has a female avatar or not, shouldn't really matter.
Are you serious? Gender doesn't matter, but it would be nice to be able to say bro or man to guys and not accidentally call a girl a boy. It has nothing to do with avatars. One Piece Bay has a gender icon in their posts. I agree with the original thread, gender icons would be nice.

When i first joined this site i didn't really think much about my Username so i went with the first thing that i could think of lol
6thHokage isn't a girly name so people started confusing me with a male...but I got used to it eventually xD

People should read the 'about me' on other peoples profiles...it's not that hard :I

You all, I just suggested it. If its there, do you have any problem? Will you not get rep or thanx if they knew you are male. Thats not...
If it doesnt matter then whats the reason to say no.

No, I'm clearly joking. Lets be honest, you can figure out if someone is a female or male, but there username the way they type and other little obvious things. Gender icon can be added if the staff want, but it's a trivial thing.

Before they made changes to the base, it was possible to show your gender by the little gender signs. However that didn't mean you were actually talking to a girl or a boy. It's easy to lie about the gender through the signs - some members even changed the sign various times.

So even if those signs were put back in place, that doesn't mean you can be sure of the gender - it's easy to change after all. Using the signs again is pointless if you ask me.
If you feel really awkward about it, you can just avoid it by just calling the member by the name *shrugs*

A lot of people don't ever bother to do that. Heck, people think I'm a guy after talking to me for a long time>_>

OT: I don't think it is necessary too have gender icons. A friend of mine said that 'All girls on the internet are guys, and all children FBI agents" it doesn't matter if people think you're a guy or a girl, but that's what I think.
