Right. You've got D-ranked under your belts 0_0 Now it's time to go from 'Junior' to 'Junior-ish'.
Or wait, is it? Is rank really the deciding factor when it comes to whether or not a certain illusion is awesome/totally awesome?
Tell me about the differences between C-ranked and D-ranked Genjutsu.

One step closer to mastering Gen :| that's what XP

C-Ranks look like illusions based on other element techniques. For example the Hellfire and mist technique, they are distractions and also in C-Rank there is the ability to release genjutsu too.
So this will get their opponent to either waste a move on trying to defend the illusionary fire or to clear the illusionary mist

First thing I noticed was that there are virtually no handseals required to cast illusions in the C-Ranks except for the one handseal to release an illusion but all the other ones that allow you to cast genjutsu require no handseals. The techniques in D-Rank do not 'directly' affect the opponent by this I mean they just make him see things and the illusion itself does not take hold of his motor skills. The sly Mind Affect technique is the first one I noticed to do that where it directly affects the motor skills of the opponent. And lastly as Aaron said C-Rank genjutsu gives you the ability to now dispel genjutsu.

Question. We're both Sages by posts so can we dispel S-Rank genjutsu with Kai or do we have to become Official Sages?
