Geeky stuff you own

oh didnt know, seemed like a lot to me. i usually dont like to spend money like this so its a lot in my eyes

i dont know how to tell if its a Shinken or not though, the store owner had a few different ones to choose from going up to 1k in price. basically i picked the cheapest one, he had some really nice ones though but i couldnt spend that much on a sword in a gun era, was my excuse

I have a fairly decent Katana collection, but none of them are authentic - just all display swords. But hey, they work the part, are made of legit material/metal, and have nice weight to them. And I know it was an excuse, but honestly even though this is a gun era I still prefer swords. Guns are far more practical but what makes swords - especially Katanas - far more interesting and worthy of collecting is the fact that not any numskull can pick one up and use it. To properly wield and use a sword is an art form in itself, at least to me.

My brother and I tried to collect all those. The golden one from the movie was the best, got like around 30 in total i think. What are those worth though?

Abilities as in superpowers they had. The gold one is called Takanuva and he can manipulate the element of Light at will. He's one my favs btw.

Well, you can certainly cash them in, tho if I were you, I'd keep atleast some of them. Just check what people on eBay sell them for. Being all classics (except for the last ones (Piraka) which are from 2006 I think) I'm sure you'll find an old fan willing to pay some.

That's cool. My manga collection basically consists of Naruto 72 and .hack Legend of Twilight Bracelet 2, so it's not really a collection at all.

@bold: i agree, its definitely not a toy, i sliced a couch pillow in half and the guy who sold it to me acted like i was trying to become a samurai. but he also practiced and studied bushido and had a lot of pride in his merchandise, definitely an art form

it does actually make that slice noise like anime though when you swing it which i geek over lol samurai Champloo is still my all time favorite anime/manga

You know the estimated worth of the cards? I got the divine best red dragon 2 times, once from the gameboy game and the other one from the collection with the other 2 beasts. I can show you a pic of them if you like

Crystal Beasts are actually one of those decks which few people still have. They're moderately rare but valued non the less since they're signatures from the GX era.

As for Slifer (the red dragon) it depends which version you have some are around 20$ but theres one near 50$:

Do you put your swords out in display or store them away.

Definitely agree there's more finesse needed when using a sword

I have all my NES, SNES, and Playstation games in the box with all their booklets and extras. I have 2 large boxes of unopened DBZ and video game toys from the 1990s.

Edit: I also have boxes of comic books from the 1960s-1990s. I have a real katana blade; that might by geeky.
