Gedo Mazou

Hey guys, not sure if this has been posted before and I dont really care. If you dont like it, go nuts and cast an infinite genjutsu on the world. XD

Anyway, I always thought the Gedo Mazou could only be summoned by a wielder of the Rinnegan. I assume when its not summoned, it goes back to its prison on the moon. But some people are saying that the Gedo Mazou is a Mokuton technique. Did I miss something?

I am aware that Madara somehow used the Gedo Mazou with Hasiramas cells to create a life support type machine, but does that make it a Mokuton tech?

No it is not being held in the moon my guess is that when madara summoned it to his hideout it stayed there or wherever it is summoned to. It does not seem like a regular summons.
