k, many people still take gedo mazo and edo jinchuriki, i dont see any reason why that contributes to his abilities, simply because the 6 entities (tailed beast ) are now fused and have become one with each other forming the ten tails, which is no more under his control. Although Obito is one of the strongest ninja's out there in Naruto Universe.... Edo Jin's were never his power, they were his backups. Gedo Mazo doesn't really exists anymore, it was summoning and was part of Obito's arsenal.

the gedo mazo is. its a summening of the rinnegan so its legit.

and when we talk about now the juubi is part of his arsenal wich he share with madara. i mean its obitos work to summon him. the leaded akatsuki sealed the beast in mazu and summoned juubi.

the jinjuurikis were controlled trough the stakes via rikudo no jutsu. he could just use 6 dead fodder ninjas and use the rikudo no jutsu on them. the only difference is that they wouldnt be immortal. its was just ironic that the original jinjus were used.
