That is true but this awake level would be a next step gap for luffy to learn to improve on the journey and add a whole to element to the manga

I think Doffy has it, but being able to make your DF influence your environment is a nice trump card for certain paramecia. It reminds me of Ichiryu's Minority World from Toriko.

Maybe it is done by combining DF powers with Conquers Haki

As much as I hate to be the bearer of bad news, from what I can read on the Jump contents page some "awaken level" does indeed exist and is very loosely described to "Effect the surroundings" it didn't specifiy how. The link translations are a tad poor.

If these spoilers are real than that was a short fight, but Doflamingo is only a arc final villain rather than a Saga final villain so I guess it makes sense.

Plus each of the other fights in the arc were only 2 chapters long.

It doesn't say that Zoans ate the fruit in some weird way, but that they transcended the abilities of Normal Zoans by some unknown means

I wonder if this means that the next step of evolution power wise for Luffy is to learn this awakening ability.

He will able to turn objects around him to rubber and use them.

So if these spoilers are accurate then we get the whole, the most powerful attacks collide and Luffy wins ending next chapter.

I wonder if Law, Kid and the others have achieved this as well. Would be interesting to see how Luffy's DF acts when "awakened", Logias too.

Perhaps Whitebeard tilting and grabbing the air itself was a form of his Gura Gura no Mi being "awakened."
