So I'm just gonna be blunt first. I think, with many others, that Gear 4th will be Muscle based.

Now moving on, I want to question how that will be done. We see with Gear 2nd that he uses his rubber body to elastically pump blood. He physically shows the pumping motion. We also see with Gear 3rd that he literally bites a hole and blows air into his bones to inflate his bones. So if muscles are the next step (which they probably are) how would he do it?

I hope people understand my question. I want to know how it is created, not what it will be. Also, if you think it is something else, share that idea but put emphasis on how it will be created

Ok, my best guess is air compression. Luffy being able to take in large amounts of air, compressing it inside his body to the point where it appears that he is in a normal state yet is able to release the air in controlled blasts as well as severely reducing the time it takes to pull off his larger attacks. (near instant expansion)

Internal combustion... I doubt it'll be muscle, It'll be a combo of steam + superheated air
