[Discussion] Gear 2nd vs Gear 3rd Luffy

So lets say there are two Luffy's fighting each other. One is allowed to use G3 while the other can use G2. Which one takes the win?

Gear2 Luffy will win. I never saw the purpose of gear3 against average to fast characters. It's only better in destroying big and immobile targets. Though the power in gear2 is significantly lowered, he'd put down gear3 Luffy in the long run due to superior speed

G2 luffy beats G3 luffy low-mid diff, since G3 has not been shown to boost defence, and G3's just too slow to handle G2

That means it's within his capability to do that. Yet for some stupid reasons, the time went back and came in, he just stood there like an idiot and took the hit. A stupid plot instance not really contradicting anything concerning the relatively slow speed of gear3

It was close to close to him that he didn't have any option meaning he couldn't dogged it. Also I do think that his huge lion/cheetah body was limiting his speed. In Cesar case it was due long range.

G3 is useful vs stunned or pinned down opponents or as a snap surprise hit which is why Luffy rarely leads with it but knock pple around with base and 2 then delivers either the finishing or a critical blow with g3.

So with that said the advantage goes to G2 as it can evade and tag G3 Luffy, It will take a lot of hits still though with Haki it minimizes the lenght of the battle a bit.

Gear 3rd is all about power no deffense speed, accuracy, while gear 2nd has all of it
