Gated Gai Question

[Forbidden Technique]

When Gai enters the 6th and 7th gate there seems to be some type of blowing force surrounding him as seen in the spoiler.

As you can see while in gated mode he whipped out the sharks as well as repelling and blowing away a lake/ocean.

My question is, is there some type of aurora/force protecting him? Something like the Raikages lightning armor. And can it be used as means of defense against taijutsu and other ninjutsu like raiton for example, as it clearly defends against suiton.

EDIT: Kisame actually explains its his chakra blowing away the water. It seems like this is a type of defense Gai can shut on and off while in Gated mode as it seems like he stopped discharging the chakra here

I think it is the excess chakra or energy coming out of his body. Much like SSJ Goku in DBZ. He can push energy out from his body to form a protective energy around said body.

Well bro I have the exact answer for your question...I causally was watching the episodes where they explained it....When Kisame saw Gai's Gate Mode he observe that weird aura and told Gai that that technique was so powerful that that great amount of chakra....To which Gai responded that it wasn't chakra but the sweat evaporating rapidly out of his body due to the gate opening....Therefore, the answer is that that aura is the vapor of his sweat steaming out of his body.....The exact episodes are 1-) explanation when Gai fought Kisame in the Garaa retrieval arc....2-) explanation was when Gai beat up Kisame in the Turtle Island after Naruto controlled the Kyubi's chakra......I hope my respond helped u

It could probably be used to push the opponent back slightly for half a second or knock away any low-class elemental ninjutsus, giving them enough time to go in for the blitz

Well, based on what i've seen probably yes, atleast with elemental ninjutsus or physical attacks ex. when Lee used 5th gate Gai said that "opponent can't even touch him in this state" but it was probably about speed. And that amount of power might be used as a form of defense by somewhat "keeping things away" (fail explaination). But these are my observations and opinions, so they might not be true.
