What will happen if someone create bunshins and instead of original the clones perform eight gate . Would the original die ?

Well as seeing that the gates are strictly for Taijutsu use and how clones are only a portion of the user I would suggest that clones wouldn't be able to perform them.

I don't think so. If the original is prodigy at kage bunshins or any other bunshins . He can maintain it for long time .

maybe he's refering to the physical stress from 8 gates which the clones experience rather than the time limit , as clones are often portrayed as being fairly vulnerable...even a direct hit that is no so strong
could already make clones disappear

The gates remove the limiters of the human body and enhance it. A clone wouldn't be able to perform it due to the fact that chakra is fueling him. A human body runs on more that just chakra.

at least clones are less durable than originals ;
since gai can use summonings ,I think it's safe to assume so.....though he might not be skilled at all . Another 8 gates user who has more ninjutsu proficiency might be able to do it perhaps

Maybe but that would be silly if someone clone + 8 gates spammed. It would make the sacrifice of 8 gates - and therefore Gai's death - redundant.
