This should prove that Sasuke's susanoo is a more powerful defence than Gaara's sand. Do you guys actually think that Gaara's sand can tank the combination of all four of those attacks? Also Sasuke's susanoo is now a lot stronger than it was during the kage summit fight. Now Sasuke can also maintain his susanoo for a longer time. Of course Gaara's is a less taxing and more natural defence but Sasuke's is indeed more powerful.

dude,sasuke's susanoo blocked gaara's sand drizzle which was like 4 shots of sand,kankuro's puppet attack,temari's sicle weasel and darui's storm release,joki boy's explosion did more damage than that,they were attacking sasuke in his little ribcage,they werent attacking the larger version,it's not like sasuke blocked sand tsunami+cast net+poison gas+black panther is it?,their target was the little ribcage,not the incomplete susanoo that sasuke created at the last moment.do you think sasuke's ribcage would block those attacks?.gaara blocked 5 COMPLETE susanoo attacks at the same time without even knowing or looking,can sasuke's susanoo do that?can sasuke walk out of a meteor attack which broke through madara's complete version as well,gaara was uninjured.@-dante-,gaara uses no chakra to make sand,stop talking trash,gaara blocked c3,that is an entire village busting attack,susanoo cant hope to match that.

Well, if you want to get technical about it then....I guess Susanoo is better.
Lee's proved that you can overcome Gaara's Ultimate Defence with high speed and possibly with overpowering force. A Raikage punch could possibly get through his shield.
Itachi's Susanoo however at its full form seems nearly unbreakable, especially if its wielder is at full power. Heck, I doubt anything short a Kyuubi Beast Ball can actually break it and maybe not even that.
I might be wrong though, who knows?

Susanoo damages your body, i would say that is quite the failzor.

Susanoo can probably withstand stronger attacks but i feel like you can be more creative with gaara his defence (as the user).

I agree with this, Gaara's sand is an overall better defense whichever one you believe is stronger IMO it is very close but Gaara blocking multiple susano'o blades from madara at once lately leads me to believe it could be stronger too.

There is a difference between the strength of normal desert sand and Gaara's chakra infused sand in his gourd with the chakra infused sand being more powerful. What Madara cracked was a defence made from normal desert sand which is weaker. Gaara's ultimate defence which has never been shown will tank almost anything.

Except you forget that Oonoki made the sand in that entire area very light. Which made his sand strong enough to actually hold down Madara's Susanoo. Gaara's mixes his sand with the sand on the field anyway. I highly doubt he would use ONLY the sand on the field knowing its much weaker then the sand in his gourd and I highly doubt he would do so to an attack that's heading right in front of him. We need to remember this as well. Madara's "Final" Susanoo easily tanked Oonoki's dust release with massive chakara being put into it. Sasuke has the final Susanoo as well, don't know if he has he perfect Susanoo(probably has to awaken it like he awoken the final Susanoo).

Okay fine I'll give you the benefit of doubt and go on to say that Sasuke may not have witnessed Gaara's sand defence in Shippuden which is why he may have underrated it. On the other hand, I believe Sasuke's new form of susanoo combined with enton is a stronger defence than Gaara's. Also keep in mind his feet are protected with chidori nagashi.

All in all Current Sasuke's susanoo>Gaara's ultimate sand Shield>Incomplete susanoo>Gaara's basic sand shield>ribcage Susanoo.

Also Gaara does use a lot of chakra to make sand. He was exhausted in his fight against Kimimaro yet you guys think that Gaara can create a whole mountain of sand even though he has never done anything close to that.
