Susano constantly changes form. Even if it's slimmer, it's still susano.

BTW, have u thought that if madara was not a edo gaara cld have used his sand to coil up the his throat and crush it or make a sand spike and put it through his a$$ instead of just pulling him out of the susano? But edo marada cant be killed the normal way and needs to be sealed.
