imo Gol D Roger, Portgas D Ace, Monkey D Garp, Monkey D Dragon and Monkey D Luffy in their prime would all be roughly equal

and yes I do actually believe it was Roger=Garp>WB

This begs a very important question though. How strong was G.D Roger ?
Lets put comparisons aside ( despite the fact that its the easiest way to determine his level, currently at least ) And try to think about that for a second. Hmmm exactly. We can't.

Until Oda decides to write more about his past life, we can't really determine his strength. The only clues we have are quite obviously his title as "Pirate King". And his encounters with Garp/Shiki ....

Looking forward to the day Oda writes in full detail about his strength/ abilities. Would make for a very interesting read indeed.

WB was the only one to evenly match Roger means that no one besides WB can evenly match the dude which means that anyone besides Roger was below WB and anyone besides WB was below Roger.It isn't even hard to understand so Garp was/is/will be < WB and Roger.

End of the day: Roger = WB Slightly > Garp so ya,he is one the same level as those dudes but loses to anyone of them in a one on one battle.

roger himself stated it, there is no room for your assumptions, its pretty simple, no need to be a scientist to understand.

no roger>garp, Garp >roger

its Roger=Garp

Hmm, he might of been back then in his prime years.
Now he's a bit older, but can 100% still kick ass. He might even still be
able to defeat the next pirate king, if he's able to kill his
grandson~ which seeing how he reacceted to Ace, he probbably
will be one of those cool badass admirals that decides not to go
after luffay
