That looks cool. Is it good for gaming and how much did it cost? Also, did you pick the parts yourself or was it all together?

1. How much did it cost you?

2. Did you build it yourself?

3. Enjoying it/any regrets?

Yes, it does!
It is made for gaming and image-editing and was really expensive. I spent 1600€ for it, which is insane, I know.
:mad:_@:

Uhm, I used a website, where you can answer a lot of questions and choose certain options.. then the system filters the parts that fit the best for what I was looking for and made sure that everything is compatible with each other.
Because I have zero knowledge of this stuff. I don't even want to think about what will happen if something needs to be exchanged or upgraded.

As nice as it is, I'd never afford that.

I know a bit about computers but I don't have the money to be able take risks by building my own. So I might make my PC the way you did in the future. I'm not sure I can get that PC in Canada though. Anyways, it looks cool.

I understand that completely. Don't do it. I wouldn't have done it either if my family didn't get a nice little shower of money because of a testament. You know.. I live a very modest life, this was the first time that I really allowed myself to buy something expensive. I forwent a possible driver licence for it.

Console-gaming is less expensive and good enough actually, but the sad thing is that a lot of interesting games are PC-only.

The online-shop where I bought that thing works only for Germany and Austria. Don't know if there is a shop/system like this for Canada tho. D:

Well naturally, you don't need a car if you have that beast. :hs:

Maybe. Can't take a ride with it tho.
But there are buses, trains and taxis if I have to travel longer distances. For short ones I have my bicycle. It's definitely not too bad.

Everything else for you is overkill, just get a solid GPU. It's a waste to have that beast of a computer just short of a GPU.

Pick up a nice tablet as your next younvestment and get into mobile gaming. Market's starting to actually be decent

I'm no stranger to commuting (New Yorker; commuting to the city is my blood), but having fun things to do really enhances the whole experience.

Can't wait for when gaming tablets become a serious thing and not exclusive to companies like Razr or Nvidia.

Hmm. I'll think about it. :3
Two of my closest friends play a lot of mobile games and are pretty much addicted to it. One of them spends so much money on this stuff, it's insane. Don't want to end up like them to be honest.

Don't buy that microtransaction crap, buy things like remakes of old games (Final Fantasy, Sonic) or emulators (MyBoy/MyOldBoy). XD

Microtransactions are super designed to turn you into a junkie

Also, a lot of games develop simultaneously for PC and mobile now. Like This War of Mine, Telltale games, Minecraft, etc.

I've spent maybe thirty dollars on mobile games over the past year and I'm set for like a good while XD

FX 8320 @4.6Ghz
ASUS M5A97 EVO R2.0
AMD R9 280X
HyperX Fury Blue 8GB 1600Mhz RAM
CRUCIAL MX200 250GB SSD

Pretty much a budget gaming pc more than capable at running any game at ultra 60fps 1080p :D
