Hello, I will be purchasing a gaming PC, primarily for playing WoW. I would like to play the game on high or ultra settings with no problems. I am a competitive player and would like to be able to keep my FPS easily above 30-35 at all times. Would this computer be able to deliver my needs or should I continue looking?

I've also considered building one but it is not really what I want to do, if I can build a computer that can run better then the pre-built in the same price range (600$-700$) than I would definitely consider it.

System Spec's

  • AMD FM2 Athlon X2 370K 4.0GHz Processor - Dual Core
  • Desktop Motherboard - w/ AMD A75 Chipset - Socket FM2
  • Maximum Memory: 16 GB
  • 8 GB DDR3 RAM
  • 1TB Hard Disk Drive
  • AMD Radeon R7 240 w/2GB Video Memory
  • 500w

Whilst AMD is a poor offering compared to Intel, your chosen configuration will still handle the fairly undemanding WoW with little difficulty.
Alright, I figured it would be able to run it without much trouble, but I thought i'd make sure. Thank you and I appreciate it.

Edit: I'll look into Intel, as it is better than AMD.

My PC altogether has cost me around £550, for the actual hard drive itself.

I bought a bulldozer from Ebay, costing around £350 or lower, will get you a cheap quadcore processor, and most likely 8 gigs of RAM.
Then I got a GTX 660 for £200 ( This was a while ago ).

So I don't mind the price I payed for my system. Since I was new to PC Gaming. However some of the bulldozers only have stock cards, but there processors are not bad.

However there are people here that could probably help you so much better than I. Since bulldozers aren't the best in quality, I'd try getting to maybe a local PC store and asking people?

Here is a much better deal if you build your own . If you can get a windows 8 or 7 key from one of your computers you can save the money on the operating system and spend it on a nicer video card like the R9 280x. This build even without the upgrade to R9 280x is a much better value. I would recommend building your own.

I plan on heading to my local PC store and asking some questions, I may just build one as it is. Thanks!

The build I posted will run WoW on ultra at 60fps or higher. I hover around 156fps with the same build but with the R9 280x card.
That is great, thank you for letting me know. I'll look into it when I am not on my mobile.

I would say,go with intel 4th gen. i5 k series, and nvidia 680gtx or above gtx series. You may need to change mobo as well,to support i5. And buy a smps of about 650 watts. And btw,if you want to run just WoW,then pretty much every pc of today can play it.
