Most of the games we get now a days are great but a significant amount of them lack replay value, for example, i bought that new South Park game that came out and it was alot of fun and all but i didn't really see why i had to play it again. I mean i did play it 3-4 more times just to see all the other classes and to go down different paths in the game but after that it just started gathering up virtual dust in my computer.

The games that i have so far played the most (nearly 10 times!) was The Walking Dead and the Hitman Series.

The walking dead had so many different choices and its really difficult to be satisfied with only playing it once, even though you will always end up with only choosing the 2 different endings, the illusion of choice really got to me. Like even though its inevitable that Lee gets bitten and becomes a zombie, i let the group cut my arm off to see if i could have really survived (even though i knew i would be a zombie no matter what).

I didn't play Hitman for as many times as the Walking Dead but i played it a couple of times because of how you can assassinate people in different ways. I tried discovering every possible way to kill the guy and i never felt bored about re-playing at all!

So lets get on with the question then, in your opinion, which game could you play over and over again for months and still not be bored?

Sports games have a high replay value. Such as Skate 3, NBA2K, FIFA, etc.
Also GTA Games and FPS.

Most blizzard games- Diablo in particular was designed for this. Not my cup of tea, but I will acknowledge it.

Elder Scrolls games- Huge, highly explorable, and all of the varying RPG elements that make you want to invest time into characters.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time- One of the few perfect games. Perfect atmosphere, pacing is perfect, story is great, explorable, simple yet intuitive combat and puzzles, and crystal clear objectives without quest markers or ruining the anticipation of discovery. Getting enough of this game is very difficult.

These are my picks, some honorable mentions are: Super Mario World, Metroid Prime, Dark Souls games

Jet set radio future. I think I'm the best in that game, I've completed that game around 20 times.

Any Devil May Cry game, I've wasted a bunch of my life on those games.

Runners up would be: The Elder Scrolls games, GTA games.
