everyones going by it because the other toads had 'gama'

what i believe connects the two is that the great toad was his summon.
in part 1 we can see names of those who passed and can use sennin modo.

2 names were shown to be jiraiya and naruto. the other 2 a mystery.

we learned that minato now is one of those, im assuming the last is hagoromo.

itd make sense aswell because he wants to connect people and sennin mode isnt excatly a big destructive power itself although it does enhance your strength greatly.

Most likely it is Hagoromo's(so6p) older brother since he knows the person he is talking about.
It is the only logical conclusion that can be made from the sentence or it could be a friend he knew during his time(IMO).
