[Discussion] Gai's 8 gate = Madara's or Gai's death? a new naruto problematic??

since opening the 8th gate mean dying...things brings a new problematic to Naruto Manga...why?

-as its impossible to imagine Gai surviving after opening the 8th Gate ,its also impossible to imagine Madara dying if he get owned by it...however if Madara deosn't die and Gai sensei's 8th gate fails...that also will sound so unfair toward gai
sensei's character and will be very dispointing ...i mean Gai dizerves an honorable death wich can only happen if he defeats Madara or at least cauze him 60% damages.......if Obito survived death after using rinnetenssei on Madara..and if sasuke and naruto survived imminent death...shouldn't kishi just let gai sensei survive too..

Gai Sensei will be able to damage Madara [Fatal] but Madara will definitely survive but Gai will most likely die. And Naruto & co. will do the rest. Atleast that's what I think.

Well, Guy will almost surely die, so I guess your question should be "Will Guy be able to kill Madara before dying?".

And I'm pretty sure that no, he won't. HOWEVER, I think a replay of Kakashi VS Obito scenario might happen in that Guy will kick the shit out of him, but then some asspull will make Madara survive (Izanagi maybe?).

It will be the typical stuff , Madara gets a hard beating then he supposedly gets finished off and everyone is like : it is over!? Either Gai dies as he survives or Madara gets mad or something

Madara won't die. This is what will happen:

• Gai weakens Madara with 8 Gates.
• Madara beats Gai and he dies.
• Naruto and Sasuke come back to the battlefield with a power-up.
• Naruto and Sasuke fight Madara in a tough fight but eventually come out with an ass-pull win.
• Ten Ten uses the So6P tools to seal Madara, giving her some importance in the series.

Gai is going to Die (Dai). But he will show the weakness of madara as a key for the rest, this way he will play a big role in the defeat of Madara.

Talking of this 4th Great Shinobi War, I think some couple more top characters should die to make this more interesting and dramatic. Neji is done for good and Gai is also going down.

Kakashi dying after/with Obito OR Tsunade's death leading to next hokage's argument would do just fine!

It was stated on last manga that the way of ninja that Guy inherited from his father was that
Winning is not about defeating a strong enemy, but being able to protect something that you love.

We can expect that he is only buying some time for Naruto to show up.
And so, protecting the people he loves.

He can cause some damage to Madara, but he is not going to win.
And Madara needs to be at his prime for his last fight.

My guess: Gai fights for a long time dies and Lee makes a desperate attempt which (I think) will weaken Madara just long enough for Sasuke and Naruto to power up and come and make a heroic rescue. Then they beat up Madara and war is over. After that every one will remember Gai, Neji and everyone else who died and end of the manga.
