Chapter 1

This was the first instance in which we really see what kind of relationship Sarada has with Boruto, and even though she’s envious of him and the rest of her peers for being able to spend time with their fathers, she doesn’t let that influence her to make spiteful decisions, and she maintains her amicable relationship with him. That was very admirable of her.

This scene was quite powerful. Everything from her posture, to her words, really depict how much she yearns to meet her father. This scene also has further significance because a similar scene is shown at the very end of the manga, but under very different circumstances! :D

Chapter 2

This was the scene which basically set up most of what happens in Gaiden; meeting up with Sasuke, and getting answers which both Sarada and we as readers sorely needed. It got me excited for the events to come :D

I’m sure this scene got everyone wondering “who the hell is this kid, and why does he have the Sharingan?”. That’s what I was certainly thinking, and my dangerously high levels of curiosity was what pushed this to be my favourite scene of the chapter. I also like the way it was revealed, it added to Mini Shin’s creepy nature!

Chapter 3

Honourable Mention:

This scene happened at the very end of the chapter, and got me really hyped for what was about to unfold. You had Naruto acting like a straight up boss here, and it would have been the first time we’d see Hokage Naruto in action, so I was really excited to see what he’d do :D

However, this was definitely my favourite scene. This stare down between Boruto and Sarada spoke a thousand words, and no words were exchanged. We knew they were friendly with each other, we knew this because of what happened during chapter 1. But this just added a whole new dynamic to their relationship, and brought their rivalry to the forefront.

Chapter 4

This has to be up there, for the sole reason of Sarada’s smile. Up to this point in Gaiden, sure she had cracked a smirk every now and again, but this was the first time we had really seen her smile, and it was because she was hearing good things about her parents, and how similar she was to them. It was a really heartwarming moment :)

This scene was really, really powerful. She longed to meet her father so much that she activated her Sharingan for the first time. This was a monumental occurrence for the Uchiha, because it marked the end of them gaining power through loss, hatred and emotionally stressful situations, and hopefully Sarada set a precedent here; In which Uchiha of future generations could gain strength through love. As the clan who cherishes love more than any other, it only makes sense right? :D

This was one of the best faces I’ve ever seen Naruto make, that was reason enough to make it an honourable mention. But what makes it better was the context, and why he pulled that face. It was in response to Sarada questioning her parentage, and asking what connection she has to Karin, and in response to her enquiries, Naruto pulls this face. It’s as if he’s saying “WTF are you talking about Sarada?!”. Naruto was definitely the face of the neutrals/pros of the fandom during this scene! Lol.

This scene was so great because it really just highlighted how far Sasuke had come since the main story. It had once been his sincerest aspiration to destroy Konoha and everything it stood for because his mind had been clouded by hatred. Yet, here he now was, sacrificing his own happiness for the sake of providing a better future for his family, friends, village, and every shonobi nation out there who would tremble and go into a state of complete and utter pandemonium at the mere mention of Kaguya’s name. Sasuke was now Konoha’s joint top protector, operating from the shadows, much like his late brother before him. And to see Naruto describe him the way he did added further emphasis to the success of Sasuke’s redemption

Chapter 6

This is just a really cool scene. Sasuke glaring at Shin after having demonstrated only a fraction of his abilities, and he’s glaring at him with a look that could kill, for having the audacity to even think about going after his daughter! This just narrowly edged Sasuke protecting Sarada from Shin’s projectiles, because I tend to be a fanboy of really cool looks. Hence, my favourite scene from chapter 3 :D

Could it have possibly been anything else? Sakura makes the single most epic entrance I’ve ever seen here, takes Shin out with one blow, and proceeds to give the fiercest, “Don’t **** with my family” look ever! (Like I said, I’m a fanboy of looks, I even made a post about some really cool looks Sakura and the rest of the Uchiha family has displayed in the manga here!) So yeah, Sakura came, she saw, she conquered. ‘Nuff said :)

This gets an honourable mention for the simple fact that it was very nice seeing Suigetsu and Juugo again; we hadn’t seen or heard from them in any kind of canon material for a while, so the near-complete Taka reunion was cool to see. Of course, Karin conveniently wasn’t there for plot purposes, but that’s besides the point. Also, the fact that Sarada recognized them from the photo made me very curious to see what she’d do with that information, and this leads on nicely to what was my favourite scene in the chapter.

This scene was very powerful. I loved Sarada’s expression and how the shading brilliantly emphasised the mental trauma she was currently experiencing. You can really just feel her utter shock, and how her heart must have just sank after seeing those results. It’s like her worst nightmare, and everything that she had ever feared for so long had become a reality right in front of her eyes. A very memorable scene, and one that I still can’t believe had so many antis completely fooled! Lol.

Chapter 8

We can never get too much of maternal Sakura! But this was really sweet, because it signified that Sakura was privy to how much this gesture meant to Sasuke. It therefore not only indicated that Sakura was fully aware of how much she meant to Sasuke (so she didn’t have to worry about that while he was gone), but it also showed how this forehead tap had become a sort of thing, or trademark for the Uchiha family, which I liked :)

Favorite Scene:

This scene was beautiful. It was likely a suppressed memory of something that happened very early in her life, and in that case, the implications are powerful, and are a reminder of one of her main incentives for going on this journey in the first place. She really wants to spend time with both of her parents, even if only just for a little bit; that would be all she needs. Deep stuff :)

Sarada, showing that she really is a SasuSaku child! Utilising her father’s overpowered eyes in conjunction with her mother’s monstrous strength, to unleash an attack so devastating that it leaves most of them in shock. Everyone apart from Sasuke of course, who was most likely fanboying inside at his daughter’s show of technique and power! XD

This scene was so great because firstly, it was everything Sarada ever wanted to see; proof that her parents love each other, and that their hearts were indeed connected. The gentle smile that emerges on her face after seeing the affection between Sasuke and Sakura is very moving, because you know she had wanted to see this her whole life, and now that it was finally happening, you just felt really happy for her.
Secondly, I’m gonna quote what I wrote from a previous post of mine regarding this scene:
“When you remember all that Sasuke and Sakura have gone through with each other, and then you see a scene like this. It just evokes so much emotion, because you know they’ve come such a long way. I just think to myself “well done guys, I’m happy for you”. Even though times are difficult, you’re working through them together and are fully supportive of one another. It’s really nice to see :)”.

Chapter 10

This was probably the best single panel in all of Gaiden in my opinion. It was the moment when Sarada finally received clear reassurance, from Sasuke’s own mouth, that her parents’ hearts are connected, and that she was the product of their deep connection. Following this, she’d no longer need to worry about who she was, who her father was, and whether her parents love each other. This very scene finally put her worries to rest, there was no more doubt; she exists because her parents love each other :)

As I said for my favourite scene of chapter 1, this scene parallels that one, but under very different circumstances because Sarada has now come full circle; she’s attained the answers she sought for so long, and now has a genuine symbol for the unity of her family. Sarada’s smile while looking at her new family portrait was amazing. This portrait was the culmination of all of Sarada’s efforts. It was a symbol of the Uchiha family having resolved their issues, and they were now able to move forward, make up for lost time, and make new memories together. Due to the sheer significance of this portrait, it makes my favourite scene of chapter 10 ^_^

+ rep for making a good thread and the effort that came with it.

However, I still feel like the plot and writing of Gaiden was so bad. You can really sum it up by saying baby mama drama. Like nothing really substantial came from it besides introducing Sarada and more Sasuke/Naruto interactions.

Sarada's mature and interesting character is the only thing that kept me reading really. Chocho and Shin were also awesome and I liked seeing Naruto's interaction with the kids and as a proper Hokage.

Villain ruined the whole thing IMO

I still don't understand her memory because it doesn't make sense.

I don't disagree with the fact that she shared a moment with her father as a baby, but the memory makes it seem as if she's already bigger than she is. In the sense of having the Uchiha crest on her back, despite only wearing it in the Gaiden. Epilogue she wears a school girl outfit, and in the flash back where she didn't have glasses, she's still wearing preppy clothing.

But I'm not asking for an explanation based on someone's opinion. Just pointing out how weird that scene is.

Anyway the Gaiden's strongest point is clearly Sarada, and Naruto's interactions with Sarada. Everything else was horse garbage, imo.

Why did you spend the time to make this? :/
For the same reason you felt it necessary to tell me that you had a fruit loop sized testicals.
I respect your honesty though.

It shouldn't be weird at all, she was very small in that scene, it just means that she had a different outfit with the Uchiha crest when she was a toddler.

Toddler outfit (with crest) -> Young academy outfit (no crest) -> Older academy/genin outfit (with crest)

of the scene is so adorable.
