Seriously who would even buy this volume?SS fans definitely won't as the Gaiden is a complete nightmare for them.The neutrals already are keeping away from this family and new gen shit while the antis realised what they suspected all along

There is nothing of interest here in retrospect.salad is basically Sakura 2.0.On top of that Karin being the mom was unnecessarily dragged on just for bait.The villain is even more forgettable than before and may as well not exist.
There is nothing regarding the other new gen who even in the movie will probably just have cameos.The movie villains as well as Bolt didn't get a single chapter for introduction.Remember all the Salad and the Gaiden hype at the beginning of the series and it turned out shit in the end.I am expecting nothing from the Bolt movie either as Kishi seems to have lost any interest in writing a decent storyline Learning from this

Yeah Gaiden was shit but I still have faith in Boruto: The Movie. Boruto seems like a much better character to me, the villains actually seem threatening and we will see more of the new generation.

Exactly.In the end the old cast is irreplaceable and what salvages things in the end.A new series based on just them as adults would have been awesome

Gaiden means "side story", so i don't fault Kishimoto for not going into great, elaborate detail about every little thing the readers expected him to or drawing up so OP villain. The very first chapter already put it out there that this gaiden would be more about Salad's relationship with her parents and less about everything else, so the onus is really on the reader for expecting anything other than that for 2 to 3 months.
