Gaiden timeline?

Where are people getting that naruto gaiden is 12 years after the war? I read somewhere that chapter 700 is ten years after the war arc or is naruto gaiden a few years after chap 700?

Well i dont think its 12 years after the war. Gaiden is likely 13 or more years after THE LAST. The last was two years after the war. Gaiden is taking place before the graduation exam, meaning boruto has to be like 12. So altogether, Gaiden is about 15+ years after the war. As for when 700 takes place, i dont know. Boruto and Sarada do look a bit younger in 700, so maybe about 2 years before gaiden
