Gai w/o gates > Kakashi w/o sharingan (Taijutsu)

It was only around his hands...

and in the slide i showed there is no aura around him...

His hands were also the only part of him we could see. The aura is usually around his body.

And the only clear shot of Gai we get is him after the attack, exhausted. I can't see Kishi making a Gates attack usable outside of gates. Why, if he was capable of that, would he waste his stamina going in to gates if he can use it outside of it?

I'm not saying it's impossible, lord knows with Kishi it is..but I just can't see why he would do that.
