Actually I always thought Mu would easily stomp Gai but I guess it can go either way with the odds in Mu's favor.

Mu naturally is a bad matchup due to invisibility but Gai can narrowly pull off a win.

Mu's invisibility gives him off away and there are reasons why Gai has his chances against Mu:

So the "Crunch" sound made and the footprints would give away his position whether he's in front or behind Gai.

Notice how there a sounds made when he comes visible(The SFX). Gai can utilize this so even though the location were different, Gai would know at least. Of course, there's a limit to that but still you get my point? A CQC is a bad idea for Mu giving the fact that Gai as well as shown to react to things he can't see

If Gai wants to win, he'll need to use Hirudora right off the bat, because once he loses track of Mu's location, its over.
