Remember Ay was looking at sasuke and was still able to avoid amaterasu...7th gates Gai is on par with V2 Ay in terms of speed considering his movements aren't human according to Gaara and he was able to attack Madara that fast when Minato got easily reacted to

Guy can probably dodge Amaterasu in sixth gate since he saved kakashi from madaras attack which was probably faster than Amaterasu. And what you guys don't get is if guy goes seventh gate he'll probably try to speed blitz sasuke right away like he did with madara and sasuke won't be able to react or use Amaterasu so if sasukes in base he gets destroyed by guys seventh gate onslaught but I'm pretty sure guy won't use seventh gate unless sasukes using Susanoo so it depends what version of suasnoo sasuke is using and if guys seventh gate onslaught and hirudora could destroy it or not

I go with Sasuke but I believe this is a really good reason why Gai cannot be hit with both amaterasu and a genjutsu at the same time

I see, I doubt Gai would be able to dodge Amaterasu if he was up close, but if he was in 7th gate he could just use Hirudora from afar and IMO at that distance Gai could easily dodge Amaterasu. Then it comes down to whether a Hirudora could tank MS Sasuke's Susanoo... I mean if Tsunade could break Edo Madara's Susanoo...

Then I think Hirudora, which should be stronger than Tsunade's strength no doubt, should be able to break through Sasuke's Susanoo (MS Sasuke < Edo Madara).

Pretty much anyone knows that a change in the pressure surrounding someone = Amaterasu

Fighting against MS Sasuke is a double edged sword - look at the feet and die via Amaterasu, look at the eyes and die Via Amaterasu and Genjutsu - moment snagged to finish Gai off.

Sasuke wins very easily.
