Care to tell why? I think Gai can possibly pull a win with very high difficulty if 7-gates is fast enough to dodge amaterasu or arrows (i'm unsure about that) then use hirudora to devour susano'o.

Why would something like that hit someone that was praised as "fast" by pretty much everyone he fought?. Plus with Intel I assume Gai knows that Amaterasu is preceded by a change in the atmosphere (It was Nagato that said that right? can't recall now), so either he knows one amaterasu is coming or he can dodge it like the Raikage. Btw someone refresh my memory, but Naruto in ... mmm I don't know the right term here but I'm gonna say "semi Bijuu" mode dodged the full speed of the Raikage right?. Compared to that, I don't think Gai has trouble keeping that speed up.

Now that his defense is set, his offense. Welp, not too much to say about this one, except Madara Susano'o was kinda useless against a Hirudora, cannot see Sasuke's being better.

EMS Sasuke kills Guy in seven gates, agreed. But MS Sasuke gets beaten by Seven Gates. Susanoo crumbles to midday tiger + no amaterasu defense bonus since midday tiger is ranged and not chakra-based. MS Sasuke's Susanoo isn't even fully developed, who are we kidding here? And Guy can bide his time around Sasuke in tanking mode with just five/six gates and use seventh gate later... been done in the manga.

Gai wins imo.

-Genjutsu is a non-factor due to the pain of being in Gates.

-7G should allow him to dodge anything MS Sasuke can throw at him, including Amaterasu and Susanoo Arrows.

-He has to maintain at least V3 Susanoo otherwise he gets destroyed by Hirudora.

-Gai should be able to outlast, he's been using 8G for an extended period of time even though usage of 8G brings unbearable pain, he most definitely should be able to use 7G for much longer than 8G.

Well MS Sasuke doesn't have the good stamina but at the same time I don't think Gai can keep gates up for long especially after using hirudora. I believe that hirudora can just obliterate any version of susano'o MS Sasuke has at his disposal but how much damage will it be able to do to sasuke after? Will it be another Kisame? Problem is that Gai doesn't have enough speed feats in 7-gates or enough uses of hirudora to prove much so I guess Sasuke can take this but I still think Gai can pull off a win based on the hype of the gates speed and the scale of hirudora.

Gai with 4 gates would win against MS Sasuke, he takes down EMS Sasuke with 6th or 7th gate.

8th Gate Gai >= Juubi Jin so there's no way in hell Sasuke is beating Might Gai U_U
