Body flicker is just fast movement. Aiming and tossing a kunia and than activating ftg takes time. We've seen Gai enter 7th gate instantly.

But like I said, base Gai has shown great reflexes. Opening peanut number do gates enhances that ability. Minato using ftg isn't a KO here, at least you haven't explained that yet.

sure, almost everything they do takes some time
just think that, depending on distance, shunshin or kunai throw followed teleprt/slash is faster
that's why I said that, if Gai wants to open the gates, he should try to get some distance between them first ;)
because if he faces Minato in base, his chances are pretty low IMO

Keep up? There's a difference between analyzing ones movement and trying to physically keep up with their pace. Bee already demonstrated that one can analyze Minato's movements and predict his attacks position TWICE. Gai has equal, if not better, reaction speed than Bee in base.

Gai has shown no such intelligence or ability to do so. Even if he could he has shown no intelligence to keep up or analyze movements of clones. Since Minato's clones aren't restricted. Minato can do as noted above and spam teleport.

Minato wrecks him, as long as the 8th gate is restricted.

Throwing a kunia wouldn't be the smartest idea.

here we see Gai enter 7th gate instantly. But we've already seen that with a lesser gate, it disrupts the surrounding environment. For example, Remember Kisame's lake. If Minato was to toss a kunia and Gai entered into gates, the kunia would be deflected.

Gai analyzed Tobi's use of kamui, which is more complicated than ftg. Clones can't withstand the unleash of gates, similarly to Kisame's sharks who dissolved.

His clones won't disappear that easily
granted he has KCM cloak there, but Juubito kick would do faaaaaar more damage anyway

he actually started opening them the page before
but yeah, he did it pretty fast, and I agree that if he did that the kunai would most likely get deflected

we also have to take into account that Minato has knowledge about the gates
so, he knows what he'll be up to if he lets him open them

High diff either way. I lean more towards Gai. Basically, if Minato tries this approach [ ][ ], he gets destroyed. It all depends on how the battle goes.

I personally don't see how Minato wins, especially without his summonings. Between Gai's awareness/perception and reaction time [ ], in addition to his striking speed and ability to track fast movement; Minato doesn't have a great chance at touching Gai who has knowledge on FTG. Landing a tag, kunai slash, or rasengan will be an incredibly hard task, and even then it isn't guarantee game over given his durability. Gai high diff, imo. If young Obito had practically the same or slightly faster striking speed then Minato, Gai should merk in CQC.

It's nonsense if you think Minato only had 2 kunai on him in his fight with Tobi. He equipped himself at his safe house before going to battle, we saw him wearing his ninja pouches. I know for certain that he carries around dozens of kunai. The location minato teleported to where he fought Tobi already had kunai on the ground so obviously he didn't need as many kunai.

OT: minato wins so bad

Gai is all about taijutsu and close range fighting and contact, if he does that against minato then he digs his own grave. Do people forget how easy minato can mark people? Gai without a doubt will get marked by minato if he gets anywhere near him and once that happens, Gai will get his throat instantly sliced.

All of those were prepped, he only actually used one but I was being nice and gave him two. Regardless of what you think you know "for certain" I gave him two and that's that.

Gai with or without intel wouldn't allow anyone to touch. We've witnessed Minato's hand speed isn't anything someone like Gai would struggle against, especially if gates are used to enhance his reaction speed.
