Minato had his Kunai in his back, and Bee saved him. Minato was the clear victor. No overestimating here.

Difficult seen as we haven't seen Gai's 7th gate speed in comparison to anyone else. All we know is that it blitzed Kisame.

Gai undoubtedly has more power and if Minato makes 1 mistake it is all over.

Gai attacking from a distance with what? He isn't spamming Asa Kujaku or Hirudora, and those are his only long range moves. Minato simply closes the distance and kills him. This also assumes Minato is going to strictly evade Gai instead of attacking.

If you move fast enough compared to your opponent, your opponent might as well be standing still. Minato FAR outclasses Gai in base speed (and gated speed, for that matter). Gai gets his throat slit at the beginning of the match, before he's even realized it's started. Gai literally won't be able to move in the time it takes for Minato to stomp him.
