[VS] Gai VS Kakashi

I've always thought Kakashi was the better shinobi. And I still think he is a lot smarter! But tbh, now I think Gai could destroy Kakashi. After seeing the 7th gate (blue steam) last week, the only thing Kakashi could do in a fight against that, is hide in his kumui world...

They're even. Guy can "win" with 8th gate, but then he dies too, so that's a draw. In fact, if Kakashi manages to teleport after Guy opens all the gates, it's Kakashi's victory, because Guy suicides.

As for the other gates, there are many ways Kakashi can handle them.
One, for example, is a raiton bunshin feint. No matter how fast Guy is, if he mistakes the bunshin for the real Kakashi and attacks him in melee, he'll get temporarily paralyzed which will create an opening for Kakashi. Of course there's a chance of Guy dealing with this bunshin with a ranged attack (Hirudora), which would ruin the plan, but hey. That's why I said they are even. Both have chances of winning.

Frankly, Guy admits that Kakashi is ahead of him, but he spoke of their competition which includes eating contests and rock-paper-scissors, so I don't think this should be taken as a proof of Kakashi's superiority.

on topic chances are kakashi wont let gai open the gates so i think kakashi takes it...unless gai has an opportunity to open the gates

Kakashi takes this one. He can just hide in Kamui world and wait for the gates to take their physical toll on Gai. No matter what though, Kakashi can copy the gates technique with his sharingan and open them to mirror Gai, then he could win easier. No matter what though, they are almost equal.
