gai vs itachi (taijutsu only)

look at the restrictions placed on gai. He can't use gates. In base, he gets out-muscled by a 30% kisame clone. In base itachi is either equal to or has more speed than gai.

He's faster than itachi in base? Do you have proof of this?

I don't really buy the 30% crap that some villian said because 1 they are always changing stuff around in their opinion which they been doing the entire show and 2nd guy opened one more gate and beat a 100% kisame. so um no

Yes but Kisame is using ninjutsu and Samehada, Whereas it's merely Itachi using taijutsu, against a pure taijutsu user, you for real?

Gai had nunchucks, 30% kisame had samehada. Kisame never used any ninjutsu until he beat gai down into the bottom of the water. Before that he was handling gai just fine.

Hold on second. Its true that gai specialises in taijutsu but itachi who doesnt specialise in it can also hold his own. If gai doenst use gates and itachi doesnt use sharigan its an even playing field.

I will give the edge to gai though

agreed Kisame didn't have the i don't have to touch you but get close to you chakra stealing Samehada when he lost. You can be at 5 percent and but all you have to do is buy for time to let samehada do his thing. Only a handful of people actually knew about or figure out samehada ability. so invalid argument.

anyways this is gai vs itachi taijutsu. gai wins medium difficult

Would be very close.
Gai is a very powerful Shinobi, but then so is Itachi. Even without being able to predict movements with his Sharingan, Itachi is damn fast. And I have no doubts about his physical strength either.
