I'd say gai takes this. He's used to fighting sharingan by looking at the opponent's feet. He could get around yata by smashing all sides at once with evening elephant. Totsuka would be easy to dodge Thoughts?

If Itachi manages to stop Gai before he can open the 8th Gate, he might have a fair chance at winning.

Winning can be accomplished in multiple ways, you just don't have to win physically. Take the Naruto vs Sasuke VOTE 2 Naruto won the battle because of ideals and not power. Gai also won't die because Plot will always save him.

Guy is used to fighting sharingan users who don't have Sasunoo. Up until Itachi and Sasuke I doubt he's seen it. Itachi would give him the hands

Gai would wreck Itachi from speed blitz and power. If Itachi can land a finger genjutsu, then maybe he has a chance. But if he can't, gg.

Unless Guy opens all 8 Gates he loses and I'm pretty sure Itachi wouldn't let him.And if he somehow opens all 8 it's a draw
