Hidan himself said that his attacks are slowest in the Akatsuki, he said that even after Sasori vs. Chiyo and Sakura fight. Its not like Sasoris attacks were slow, Chiyo was just able to see through them, as she was the one who passed on Kugutsu techniques to Sasori (its like having Sharingan without a Sharingan). I mean, Hidan himself said that, and even Databook prooves that Sasori was faster than him.

The sheer fact he wasn't overwhelmed with speed by Kakashi put him higher than anything Sasori has shown; regardless of databook scores. I honestly don't even care about Hidan in the slightest, he is worse-worse-than-shit tier as far as I'm concerned, my only point is Sasori is El Tortuga

Kakashi never took offensive manner regarding Hidan, he was just defending himself and tried to not be cut. Like I said, Chiyo had great knowledge on Sasoris Kugutsu techniques. If you think that Sasoris puppets or IS attacks were slow then you dont remember this manga very well. ->
