Danzo's speed in CQC is high, he could seal Sasuke who has better reflexes due to sharingan. If gais goes to close combat in base mode, he gets inmovilized. Not to mention that if he uses the 7th gate to use Hirudora and Asakukakku, he would dry out and Danzo would still be alive, since Izanagi negates both atacks.

--No intel on izanagi is bad for Guy, and the fact that he cant spam his notable techniques such as hirudora and asakujaku, and even then, they are just negated easily by izanagi

--once guy falls to base, danzo can land his curse seal, to immobilise him, or he summons baku which sucks him in, followed by futon that blew a hole in V3, to take guy out,

8 Gates can resist curse seal quite easily actually.
